We were on a tour in Buffalo and people from Buffalo on the tour recommended Chefs. It was fun. The food was pretty ordinary Italian food. The servcie was good, but not great...when asked for descriptions or recommendations of items she was unable to respond. The atmoshphere and price were great.

Very good selection on menu. I like that they offer two sizes of entrees as you always get too much good anyways. Fresh bread was great. Good dessert menu. Tables are a little crowded but not so you don't enjoy your meal. Plenty of parking right across street. Highly recommend it.

I have lived in Buffalo my entire life and haven't been to Chef's until yesterday even though it is considered a Buffalo tradition. Honestly, there is WAY better available. Try Frank's Sunny Italy or Mulberry's instead of Chef's and you will be pleasantly surprised. My entree was good, the portion size for the price, not so good. I ordered the Penne special and my artichokes were a bit on the chewy/stringy side. For an appetizer we ordered the stuffed banana peppers and I spent more time trying to spit out the pepper seeds then eating the pepper, also they put so much cheese on the peppers, you may as well just order a plate of melted mozzarella because quite frankly that is all you are going to taste. I tried my daughters ravioli and meatballs, the meatball was bland, the ravioli was frozen ravioli you buy at a grocery store and the sauce, well I have had much better from several places. Don't waste your time and your money coming here.

Make a stop at Chef's restaurant. It has reasonably priced Italian food and a great restaurant atmosphere. Try a parmed dish!

This restaurant is just amazing. The food is excellent. Not a bad thing on the menu. Perfect for family, large groups (with a reservation of course) hanging out with friends. There is so much going on, I wouldn't go here for a romantic dinner because everyone is having so much fun, it can be loud at times. The service is great. They honestly feel like family there. If you are in downtown Buffalo, you MUST try this restaurant! You won't be disappointed.
