“NEED MORE LEE'S BAR B QUE IN THE WORLD”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Lee's Bar B Que is the best in WNY and has been around almost 40 years. The secret sauce is so delicious I have to mix it with my cole slaw. Lee really needs to branch out and share his delicious sauce with the world.

He can actually beat out Famous Daves, Smokey Bones and the list goes on and on. Time will tell........

“Mouthwateringly YUMMY!”
Reviewed September 23, 2011

I LOVE ribs & B-B-Q, so when I learned of Lee's I had to try it ... went last night. As mentioned earlier, it is in an older part of town, but don't let that deter you. Just use your head and lock your car. The food? WONDERFUL! No sweet, gooey tomato sauce here. ee uses a vinegar-based sauce that he had developed over the 42 years he's been serving pork at the same location. The choices are between ribs or shoulder. I had the ribs and they were out of this world. Huge portion of fall-off-the-bone goodness! Will most definitely be back soon for the shoulder. YUM!!!

“Simply The Best In Its Cuisine Category...Bar none!”
Reviewed May 24, 2011

This is quite simply the BEST TAKEOUT barbecue in Western New York. No other business, not Anchor Bar (which by the way is NOT the site of the Original Buffalo- or any OTHER style of- Chicken Wing, but that is another post), not Fat Bob's, not Duff's...none, can compete with the flavor of Lee's 'special bbq sauces'. The hot version will make your mouth water and have you reaching for your lemonade again and again!!! As another poster stated, this Rib and BBQ Joint is located in an economically-depressed (i.e. "inner-city ghetto) part of town, so make your trip here during the early part of the day into early evening. The latest out-of-towners should venture to Lee's is just prior to sundown. Lock your cars (common sense, really, no matter where you venture) and do NOT leave purses, briefcases, luggage, valuables, cellphones, MP3 players, etc. 'hidden' in plain-sight. The locals and plenty of out-of-towners have been patronizing this excellent eatery for decades, without incident. So, use common sense and be aware of your surroundings, you will be fine and have the sumptuous BBQ meal of your freaking life!!!!! P.S. Lee's Lounge (bar) is right next door, and is generally a safe watering hole, but (obvious) out-of-towners should probably stick to the alcoholic spots scattered around downtown and the Allentown and Elmwood Strip districts. Cheers!

“Very disappointed!”
Reviewed March 1, 2011

I ordered a Pull Pork Roast today, and I was totally disappointed with what I got. What I got was old hard meat and soft mushed cat food. And cole slaw that tasted like nothing. What has happen to Lee's? All I got was a $17.35 illness. That will be the last time he gets any business from me. Good luck if you buy anything there. I hope your luck was better than mine.
