“Small and cozy”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

This place is quaint and small, seating for about 30-35 people only.

While waiting, we saw several parties leave due to the wait times so we figured it was a popular place. There were other parties like us willing to wait.

Our party of 4 were seated at the sushi bar. The menu offers authentic Japanese food and the sushi/sashimi is prepared right before your eyes.

We will definitely be back when we next cross the border to shop. Bonus, its minutes away from the Peace Bridge!

“Amazing sushi and specialty dishes”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

The jellyfish is a special treat. And make sure you try the hot, hot, hot seafood salad. It's comprised of raw salmon, tuna, spanish mackerel and octopus all mixed together with hot spices.

“Best sushi in Buffalo”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Buffalo's best for years! Never disappoints, consistently good. Great service and ambience; worth waiting 90 minutes to dine in this small, no-reservations-accepted establishment

“The best Japanese restaurant I've ever been to!”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

This restaurant is just awesome. I love Japanese food and I've tried many places before. Kuni's is simply the best. They serve authentic sushi and some special dishes, such as their grilled squid. The space is a bit small, but that's not a disadvantage at all. We felt comfortable, and service was quite professional. We ordered miso soup, seafood tempera, a small sushi combo and a whole grilled squid. Everything was perfect. My wife and I made a last-minute decision to go, and we were very glad that we made the best decision in our vacation. The sushi master found out we are Chinese, and talked with us about the current conflicts between Japan and China. We were both sad about the situation, and agreed that we should try our best to be friends rather than enemies. We'll leave Buffalo the day after tomorrow, and guess what, we'll visit again tomorrow evening:D
