I love eating at the bar, especially at a nice restaurant because you can often sort of "sneak the line" without reservations.
The bar area was very busy when we were there, holiday celebrations gathering before their tables were ready so we were happy to get a seat.
The wine by the glass menu is not very long so don't be married to a particular type before ordering.
Each time I've visited I have gotten soup off of the "specials" menu. Their soup is always great and the portion is quite large so keep that in mind.
We shared a Fresh Ricotta Ravioli with mint oil and garlic chips. It was a pretty dish, looking like Christmas with the rich red of the tomato and bright green of the mint oil. The garlic chips were shavings of garlic they must have cooked in the oven. I am going to do that, too.
Eat at the bar and enjoy one of the best restaurants in Buffalo.
Have a yummy day!
