Owner description: A National Historic Landmark designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen, the hall was constructed in 1940 as the permanent home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, it has also become home to Just Buffalo Literary Center's Babel Series and the Buffalo Chamber Music Society's performances. It is frequently used for weddings, corporate meetings, and performances by local organizations. Each spring, more than 10,000 people receive their high school or college diplomas on the Kleinhans stage.

“Beautiful Venue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

I go to Kleinhans to hear the BPO a lot. For a small city, Buffalo has a phenomenal philharmonic orchestra - full of talent and lead by world-renowned conductor Joann Falletta. As for Kleinhans, its simple yet beautiful wood design isn't overwhelming or breathtaking, but the acoustics are 5-star, the seats are comfortable, and there isn't a bad view of the stage anywhere. Believe it or not, Kleinhans seats just as many people as Carnegie Hall.

“No better place than Kleinhans Music Hall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

No concert hall can compare with Kleinhan's accoustics. It has a world class reputation, along with an architecturally beautiful building. It's the only place to listen to the Philharmonic orchestra as it takes you away on an awesome musical journey.

“We give them the Very Best of Everything”

How can anyone in the music industry-or anyone who lives music not love everything about Kleinhans? A yearly subscriber for many years- and continue while we can. Architecture is another top priority in the building of this magnificent music house.

“acoustically wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

How beautiful this building is! With the moat filled and reflective, the outside has returned to it's original beauty! Inside this old building from Buffalo's GLORY DAYS, is well maintained-the negative is the bathrooms (original & clean) are down a long flight of stairs which some may find challenging. The main concert hall is wonderful with a full balcony and great viewing from just about everywhere. The best is the sound-how wonderful! I remember my father, a pianist, telling me it is an acoustically perfect music hall.
The BPO concert we attended was certainly worthy of this magnificent building...

“Enjoyable time at Kleinhans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

My husband and I traveled 4 hours to attend the Indigo Girls with the Buffalo Philharmonic in Sept. The volunteers directing traffic did a great job of getting everyone into the lot quickly. We were stunned at how large the hall was inside (it doesn't seem that large from the exterior). There were many ushers available to help us locate our seats and the show was fabulous. Buffalo is very lucky to have this gem!
