It has everything you want. Places to stay, shop, eat, do laundry. A nice homey feel, with a vibrancy. Summer Concerts, and activities available.

“Loved the street's authentic paint colors and highlighted architectural details. The trend line is up for this area!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

The Elmwood Strip is a model for other cities trying to re-new older areas. The street appears vibrant with lots of renovations of stores and nearby homes. The street is a wonderful work in progress. Lots of local shops and eateries for those who need a break from mall shopping and chain restaurants.

The surrounding homes are being restored in heritage colors with the subtle architectural details of porches, railings, and moldings being re-finished with pleasing complimentary colors. Thankfully, the politicians and planners, haven't banned cars, built glass walled condos or an LRT in attempts to re-define or save the area.

“needs minor nips and tucks”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We love this street. It is full of neat restaurants, shops and interesting people. It could use a little cosmetic work, like put the trash off the street, new paint and wood work and possibly a common theme throughout the shops. It is kind of a mish mash that needs a common thread.
