My husband and I dined here on a recent Saturday before a concert. We had reservations and were promptly seated. We ordered four types of rolls to share, including the beef on weck roll which was our favorite. The last reviewer does not understand that the weck roll on which the Buffalo specialty beef on weck is served on has coarse salt on top of it and that is why the beef roll based on this sandwich is salty. We thought that the food was fabulous. Service was also great. We also saw the chef/owner Mike A walking around to make sure everything in the restaurant was going as it should. Highly recommended.

We were lucky to be seated when we got there without reservation.
To be fair, I'll rate on the dishes I tried.

New Style Crudo - this dish has sashimi salmon, tuna and red snapper dip in olive oil, top with sliced basil, sprinkle of sea salt, biscuits and lemon.
Overly use of sea salt. I think this dish fail itself is because raw salmon has enough fish oil, their olive oil seems too heavy. Perhaps use of lighter version of virgin olive oil would be better. Anyhow, sea salt covers all freshness.
Curry coconut soap noodle - it is not bad, perhaps tone down on the sweetness would balance whole dish.
Beef on weck roll - gosh, the sea salt again! I wonder if it was my taste bud, yet I saw the table next to us, left out the rolls. But! Horseradish sauce is tasty.
Seafood Tacos - it is delicious and tasty, I would recommend this.

Personally, I am quite afraid to try it again (at least in a short while) as the saltyness of the food still sticking in my mind.

We went there 4/6/13 and enjoyed our visit. My family had gone many times before and commented the waitress wasn't up to snuff. I thought her to be too mechanical, "hi my name is xxx, and I will be your waitress tonite", so for a $30-50 pp bill, not what would I expect. Flavors were awesome on the appetizer special. My spicy tuna roll was great. My wife's octopus with cous cous had way too much balsamic vinegar. should be a splash not a drowning. Michael the owner/chef came out and was very nice. All in all very nice atmosphere and be ready for young and old, loud and quiet, spicy and not ----all around you.!

This is what a restaurant experience should be...we were too early for our 6:30 reservation on a Saturday evening (hockey game ended sooner than expected) and were cheerfully and promptly seated in the dining room. It's a cool space - the wall of changing colored lights, and minimal yet eclectic decor give it a comfortable and trendy atmosphere. I was concerned that the concrete floor and exposed ceiling would make it too difficult to have a conversation, but when we left a little after 8, the place was packed and the acoustics were just fine.

Our server was very friendly and knowledgable and happy to answer our questions about the menu. I had a phenomenal sake-raspberry martini. As I don't go for sweet, syrupy drinks, the bartender made mine a little drier. It was light and refreshing and deceptively potent.

I loved that the menu had something for everyone (pork enchiladas, meatballs and garlic bread, chicken and waffles, for example), especially the non-sushi fan. My husband loves sushi and this is his favorite place for it. I had to try Mike A's meatballs for our appetizer - a nice little heap of them with garlic bread. They were delicious - tender and flavorful. It was a big enough serving that we were able to take them home with us. I had the lobster ramen entree - the poached egg on top absolutely made this dish. For dessert, I ordered the green tea ice cream sundae (skipped the whipped cream) which was studded with peanuts and drizzled with caramel sauce. So good. My husband had two more pieces of sushi for dessert.

Loved the food, felt like a valued guest (which is often not the case when dining out). Highly recommend.

This place has an great atmosphere, great service, and great food. I came with a couple of my friends and had a great time. No complaints on the service which was quick. I had the beef on wick roll and it tasted like i was eating 6 small beef on wick, amazing.
