“Delicious food, great prices, friendly service- a perfect place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2009

My husband and I love Shannon Pub. The restaurant is divided into two sections- a restaurant side and a pub side. The menu has great pub food. I've never had a bad meal here, but the poutine appetizer and Guiness stew are particularly delicious. We have a toddler and the service here has always been spectacular. They have live bands playing quite often, which adds to the Irish flavor of the place. We recommend this restaurant to our friends for a great night out.

Shannon's Pub is quite an unassuming place from the outside, but when you enter you find yourself inbetween a large sit-down dining area and a large mahogany bar with additional tables surronding a huge fireplace. The ambiance is fit for an American-Irish Pub, but you will notice an abundantly older crowd here. The menu is versatile consisting of sandwiches, steak & seafood entrees, pasta, as well as daily specials ranging from Prime Rib to Fish Fry. They also have an Irish Specialities menu with the likes of Shepherd's Pie, Gaelic Steak and the Beef & Guiness Stew. We began our meal with the Shannon Pub Poutine (which is Pub Fries smothered in brown gravy, topped with mozzarella cheese) and their infamous Potato Chowder. The poutine was appetizing and the chowder was amazing with chunks of potatoes, creamy broth and shreds of corned beef. We continued the meal with the Gaelic Steak and a Monte Cristo Sandwich. The Monte Cristo was excellent and the Gaelic Steak, which was a NY Strip Steak cooked to my order of Medium rare sauteed in a wonderful creamy Jameson Irish Whiskey mushroom and tomato sauce, was quite enjoyable. They have a nice beer selection and Irish bands every week. The service was ok and reservations is recommended for the dining room. I would definitely recommend dinning at Shannon's Pub or for a pint of beer to enjoy one of their many scheduled bands. And finally, you really can't go wrong with a Pub with a countdown clock till next year's St. Patricks Day.
