This park is poorly maintained, potholes in road all the way in very bad on the out drive. It rained before we arrived so roads and sites were muddy stone is scarce in sites, which are narrow and road so tight you can't pull in with a 38' 5th wheel with out sinking in mud. No paths between rows for bathroom access so you have to walk a long way around or cut a campsite, which we don't like to do. Convenient to all attractions and getting tickets, however the meal before the show is an overpriced average buffet. Show was a diappointment compared to 28 yrs ago, however still enjoyable. Trail ride in Park was very enjoyable.

Room Tip: If your a senior with grandkids along, don't stay here unless it hasn't rained. pool may or m...

They had been flooded in 2011, we were there in 2012. They were working on recovering from the flood. Still pretty dusty, but they were continually adding rock and gravel.
There is a pool and activity area at the entrance. Get to the pool early if you want a place to sit!
I think it was $3 per person.
The campground bathrooms/showers were ok, some bugs were always in there, but they tried to clean them out daily.
The campground people were friendly and helpful.
I would stay there again, my wife would rather not. We were there 4-nights.

We had heard very little about the Theodore Roosevelt National Park and I can't believe more people don't know about it! We stayed one night at the campsite and in the off season it was quite and nice. The price was right and it's just a minute from the park and small town of Medora.

Room Tip: We had tent spot # 10 and it was close enough to restrooms and a water pump. It also backed up to a...

After reading previous reviews, I wasn’t expecting much but Bailey was very nice checking us in (although the main office does have a funky smell) and helped us choose a gravel, level and quiet site. The campground was clean and there was a group of scouts cleaning the campground one morning. The bathhouse are old but functional and the shower pressure was very good. They are not a/c so a bit hot in July. You can walk to the Little Missouri River right behind the campground and there’s a picnic table down there. At this point you can view a beautiful butte with coal streak in it. Wifi was good, no cable. No discounts available.

We stayed here 1 night and my asthma couldn't take it. We ended up staying at the other campground on the other side of town. This one is down in a hole...dusty, dirty and full of cottonwood trees. It may be owned by the foundation but you would never know it from the run-down state it is in. The motel in downtown Medora unfortunately has had many more updates. I just wish the foundation would cater to those who choose to camp out rather than stay at an over-priced motel. Stay at the other family owned campground...for nearly the same price. You will be glad you did!

Pleasantly surprised based on earlier negative reviews - camp ground staff friendly and efficient - showers and bathrooms clean and worked well. Admittedly this is a camp ground built to maximize space - however campers were friendly and no issues with quiet hour violations. Shuttle service to Medora Musical and Pitchfork Fondue was excellent. Bicycle access to virtually all attractions in Medora (except Musical site which is on very steep hill) was a plus. Medora city outdoor swimming pool is right next to camp site - not crowded, well staffed and can't beat $3 all day entry fee.

planned on staying 2 nights but left after the first night ...Where to start ...we arrived just at dusk after a long drive from the Canadian rockies ...had serious trouble getting into site due to Mud..rv kept getting stuck and sliding ...no gravel at all ..just did enough to get secure and get some sleep ..a good nights sleep was not an option here ..VERY noisy with parties going on as there were a lot of 20 somethings partying until very late ( past midnight .upon awakening i was able to get a better look around ..What a mess..I understand there was recent flooding and maybe they should not have opened yet ,but no excuse for pure filth ...there was no gravel at sites and mud everywhere.ruts made it difficult at best ..sites unlevel and filthy ...bbq grills ( i checked a few ) were filled with cigarette butts ...I decide i had had enough and called a campground down the road and left never to return...has potential but things need to be addressed here ..Would not recommend staying here ....look elsewhere!!!!!!!
