After an early morning tour of Theodore Roosevelt NP's lovely South Unit, we were famished. Selections in Medora are slim at best,so we tried the breakfast buffet at the Chuckwagon - big mistake! We practically had the huge place to ourselves and could have all the cold or lukewarm, at best, been on the buffet for, apparently, hours food we wanted. When I say we had the place practically to ourselves, that includes the staff who were barely responsive. (Example, I need sugar free syrup - took a few attempts to rouse anyone and then, finally, a brand new bottle arrived. After removing the seal and using on the lukewarm french toast, I left it on the buffet in case someone else might want it, but someone returned it for safe keeping immediately). In their defense, the bacon was crisp and tasty - we both ate our fill of that. However, at about $11 each that seemed a bit extreme. Needless to say, we do not recommend. Perhaps arriving early or in season might help!
