“Cheap but you get what you pay for.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

It might be because this restaurant was not fully open for the main season but there were very few choices on the buffet. What they had on the buffet was OK but the price was very cheap. I guess you get what you pay for.

“Hearty Fare”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

We had a very large group, and so the Chuckwagon was the obvious choice due to seating. The food was tasty for a buffet, and there was plenty of it. Not spectacular, but certainly worth the money. I would go back if I was with a group.

“OK for breakfast”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

A good breakfast buffet and reasonably priced. Lunch and dinner not very spectacular--run of the mill and not interesting.

“Little choice in September”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

I was here on a group tour in mid September. We had a tight schedule that day in order to arrive in Medora before the Chuckwagon closed at 6:30. Apparently most of the town closes down after Labor Day weekend, so there are few dining options available later in the month. We had both dinner & breakfast the next morning at the Chuckwagon & were not impressed. The food was OK with little choice. There is a nice patio area for outdoor dining when the weather is nice, but it was too chilly when we were there. I would have preferred to eat somewhere else, but it wasn't my decision.

“limited fall hours”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

This was open only from 5:30 to 6:30 in late September. The buffet was limited, offering very little. Corndogs, salad and fixings, alfredo noodles. Perhaps their full offerings during heavy tourist season would be better.
