Great family resort

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 13, 2017via mobile
We did enjoy our trip here with a family of 4. The room was big enough and had enough room for the kids to entertain themselves. The only concern was the parking lot. They're so tight and someone just scratched my car with almost 10 inches white paint scratch. Not happy about that. Other than that the facilities were good and the food at the restaurant and bar was fine.

Great, beautiful, comfortable rooms. However, I did not rent a car and an Uber was not worth the price to go get dinner outside the hotel. The hotel bar staff was not very attentive or too friendly. After working in restaurants for several years, it's a pet peeve when there's very little guests in the place and no one is coming to check in with how your meal is. Recommend for staying but eat elsewhere.

Everything was wonderful. Rooms were clean and had plenty of space. We stayed in a room with a king size bed. Grounds were nicely kept. Close to all surrounding sites. Hour to Grand Canyon, half hour from Sedona. Perfect area for vacations with family. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in this classic hotel a number of times over 25 years ago, while living in Tucson, and I always loved it. Recently my husband and I were driving from Santa Barbara to Colorado Springs and Flagstaff was the perfect half way point, so there was no question about where we would stay. This hotel has been beautifully maintained and the service is excellent. When we checked in, we were upgraded for returning after many years. I mentioned that I had stayed there in the past and had selected it again on this trip without even checking the reviews, because I had such wonderful memories from previous stays.

The rooms are huge with a separate sitting area and the bathrooms are also very large. There are black out drapes, and the bed is comfortable, firmer than many. Even the couch was quite comfortable. The location is immediately off of I-40, so no time is wasted driving to the facility. Like other Little America hotels, they have a full service restaurant as well as a service station and convenience store. This is a huge complex and there is ample free parking. This is an excellent choice if you are staying in Flagstaff, and we would most definitely stay there again.

Room tip: Rooms with views of the trees are an upgrade but quieter with more atmosphere.

We discovered this hotel by looking at random places on the net when we planned our first trip to Flagstaff. We just returned from our third stay there. We wouldn't stay anywhere else Little America is everything a hotel should be: tastefully appointed, spacious, comfortable rooms; courteous, efficient and professional staff; quiet, idyllic setting; great views; excellent restaurant (the biscuits at breakfast, alone, are worth the trip); and affordable! Then there's the fact that it's near everything - the Grand Canyon (1-1/2 hours) Petrified Forest (2 hours) and the countless geological and archeological sites in northern Arizona (five minutes to however far you care to roam).

Room tip: Get a room that faces the San Francisco Peaks

Cameron at check-in was extremely friendly and had great advice on things to do in Flagstaff. The room, while the decor was very dated, was the cleanest room I've stayed in (carpet will be replaced in renovations). The room and bathroom were very large. It was great to have room to spread out. There is a small refrigerator in the bathroom...not where I would choose to put it unless I want to soak in the tub and have access to drinks in the fridge. Lol. Excellent stay!
