My family of four stayed at the Hampton Inn Flagstaff in late June for 2 nights on our way to the Grand Canyon. If you’ve stayed at a Hampton Inn before, you’ll be in very familiar territory. My overall impression was good. One negative was the front desk staff didn’t seem to know much about the attractions in the area. We asked for some directions and ended up just finding stuff on our own. I’ve stayed at Hamptons a lot over the years, and this location was middle of the road. The room was clean and relatively spacious. Parking was a bit of challenge, the beds were ok, and lots of restaurants are in the area. Part of the hotel is below grade, so if you want a view at all be sure to request it. Also, some rooms on the first floor are directly across the hall from the pool/exercise room, so be careful. t was my impression that some cost cutting was going on at breakfast, as the same warmed scrambled eggs were served both mornings, where there used to be different options day to day. There was a waffle maker, so the kids liked that. There is nice looking indoor pool, but we didn’t swim

Room Tip: First floor rooms could be below grade and across from indoor pool, choose upper floors.

A nice place but you do want a room away from the highway. We had a king suite and it was nice with a full fridge/freezer. I like a firm mattress so that was great and you can control the temp to your pleasure. Being from AK we like it cold and that was no problem. A good choice for the breakfast but it was very busy so some things were empty.

Very Friendly staff at the fron desk. They really make you feel welcome. The lobby is makes you feel welcome. The rooms are nice as well as breakfast. The rates seem a little high for a Hampton, especially in a city like Flagstaff, but it is not outrageous. I would consider staying here again.

The $150 room wasn't very big, the beds were like slabs of concrete, there wasn't even a comfy chair to escape to, only hard wood ones. The LG flat screen TV was a dreadful thing, one coudn't tell what was on that channel......the tub was not deep enough for washing a dog. Too expensive and not enough comfort. I swear they were carrying on with construction in the next room til way after dark. I could have gotten past the noise from the interstate if the room had been comfortable.

Room Tip: We were so miserable we packed up and left for home at 2AM

It's hard to complain about a Hampton Inn room. They are consistently clean and comfortable. Our room was great and had a great view. What turned us off to this place was that the breakfast area was dirty. Let me just preface these next words by saying that I have never been accused of being a neat freak. However, the lack of cleanliness in the breakfast area was very disappointing. There were only about 7 people eating when we arrived in the breakfast area. We got eggs and I noticed quite a few of the scrambled egg bits were all over the countertop and serving spoon. Ditto for the sausage gravy next to it. The waffle makers had drips of waffle batter all over the handles and countertops. It was not an appetizing start to the day. It wasn't because there was a big crowd. There were two ladies who were working the area but they spent most of their time talking about where a coworker lived. I would have had no problem if they had had this conversation while continuing to go about their duties. Overall, for the steep price we paid for the comfy room and this messy breakfast area, it just wasn't worth it.
