By the time we arrived, they had removed the Radisson name plate. We had a 'suite' on the top floor. New mattress, however we had booked a room with the adjustable bed with dual controls and it wasn't to be. So someone had to sleep on the Sofa bed. The bed clothes for the sofa bed did not fit!! Much too large and that made it very uncomfortable. Our rate included a breakfast buffet and it was VERY good. Was quiet on the top floor. Uesd their laundry facilities and they were clean and nice. The fitness area was under construction, not a big problem, but an irritation. We would stay again if the rates were right.

Room Tip: Get a good rate!!!

We appreciate your feedback and apologize that there were a few frustrations during our transition. Our fitness center, though relocated during our upgrades, is now back in service. Yes, the Sleep Number beds have disappeared, much to the pleasure of many of our guests, and we now boast the very comfortable Sweet Dream beds by Serta. We will definitely look into the issues with the bedding for the sofa sleeper as that is not acceptable. Thank you for your comments and your patience as we continue to upgrade, improve and renovate in preparation for becoming a DoubleTree by Hilton.

The staff at Woodlands Hotel were very professional and experienced. One the day that we arrived for a one night stay, the hotel staff advised that we could not check in until 4 PM. This was upsetting since we were hoping for an early check in. The staff member confidentially and politely explained that remodelers were making measurements for future construction work. We pressed for early check but with no luck. We returned sometime later and the staff not only allowed us to check in but upgraded our room. This was a thoughtful arrangement. The room was clean, well stocked and the bed was comfortable. I will stay at the Woodlands Hotel in the future and recommend it any one staying for any period of time in Flagstaff.

We spent one night at this very comfortable, conveniently located hotel---a superb value for the dollars. It is a very "nice"(somewhat up-market) with attractive lobby, restaurants and room service---not in the motel category at all. I found a sale price online but when I contacted the front desk they matched the price----doing one's homework pays off! I liked that the hotel wasn't right by the major highways, nor several miles outside of town, but super convenient to the historic downtown with the good restaurants etc. the bedding was excellent (fluffy, spanking clean, with plenty of pillows and good mattresses). The service couldn't have been nicer ---professional and kind. I highly recommend checking out this hotel! (One reviewer commented the air conditioner was noisy---I personally like the "white noise" of a humming a/c---helps me sleep and drowns out anything else).

We appreciate your feedback! Thank you so much for the kind review and recommendation. We also love that you did your 'homework' - checked out the rates and called us direct. Our goal is to maintain a rate 'parity' across all channels and will always match any rate found online when booking direct.

We stayed here for only one night, but it was a very comfortable one!

We had a King Suite, which had a full sofa bed in the sitting area, which was separated by the bathroom from the king bed. There was a small fridge as well.

The hotel is very nicely decorate, with a warm feeling. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

We did have a cleanliness issue with a few "wads" of hair along the walls and furniture in the sitting room. I honestly don't know how housekeeping could have missed it. We did inform the front desk at check out to make sure they vacuumed well, using an attachment along the walls...they gave us a break on the rate.

We come to Flagstaff many times per year...and I am not sure if we will stay again. While the room cost is comparable...there are other hotels we like just as much that offer free breakfast...which can save us about $20 per day. There is a restaurant in the hotel where you can get food if needed.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We'll share this with our management and housekeeping team. Reviews such as yours are key to helping us continue to improve our services and amenities. We are going to be going through a major transition as we convert to DoubleTree by Hilton which includes upgrades, new amenities and offerings. We do hope that on a future trip to Flagstaff you'll return to the 'Woodlands Hotel' to experience the difference. We'd love to hear from you again, as well, about your experience.

We stopped at this hotel on the way from Colorado to California, having made reservations online, and also stayed on our return trip. The first stay was fine. My only complaint there was that although I went directly to the hotel website, when I went to check for availability and make the reservation, I was shunted to a third party reservation company, which I didn't know until the reservation was complete. I choose not to use third parties when making reservations because you always have to go back through them if there are any issues, rather than directly to the hotel. On the way back, however, when we checked in we were told that we couldn't have the king room I had requested online (and the website did not indicate it was merely a request and not confirmed- we were told at the desk that there was a $20 confirmation charge that was not apparent on the web), but we could pay $75 more to get a king. Then when we got to the room we found it was a couple of rooms down from the laundry and right next to the housekeepers closet which was standing open. When the a/c came on it sounded like a freight train coming through a tunnel. Needless to say, we will NOT be staying at the Woodlands on our next trip through Flagstaff.

On behalf of our entire team at the Woodlands Hotel, we'd like to apologize for the recent experience at our hotel. We are working diligently not only to upgrade our amenities, guestrooms and public areas, but also to ensure the highest level of service. It's reviews like yours that assist us in fine-tuning our operation and ensure issues are not repeated. We do hope we will be able to serve you again in the future and show the highest standards of service and overall experience.

I'll begin by saying the room is fine but for the price I would stay elsewhere. The room has basic amenities - a single cup coffee maker, TV with premium channels, and a desk. There are no refrigerators or microwaves, which in my opinion should be standard in all hotels. Even lower end hotels provide at least a refrigerator. Our room was even missing the clock. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and bathroom was clean and a standard size. We will not likely stay here again because of the lack of amenities in the room. They do offer room service for breakfast and there is a restaurant that opens at five.

First impression was the 'ritz'. Lobby is huge & beautiful. Staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms very clean & spacious. Restaurant & Lounge were second to none! The 'show' from 'Teppanyaki' chef at your table was excellent.

The quality of the food was also excellent & the service impeccable.

Room Tip: Overlooking pool is very nice.
