“Snow on the ground.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

We stayed one night.
In March the weather was very cold, and the front entrance doors always seemed to be open letting in too much of the cold air.
In the hall there was a loveley open fire which did help.
Our room was over the front door and of course we expecetd to have a lovely view of hills, forests and of course roure 66.
All we could see was a parapet and a flat roof.
A bit disappointing.

We dined and had breakfast in the dining room which was satisfactory

Room Tip: Don't take a room over the front door.

Yes March can be a very cold month (interspersed with warm spring days). Please ask us during your next visit for a room on an upper floor. We love to grant guest room requests whenever we are able. Safe travels.

We were a little disappointed with our stay. On checking in to our room it faced directly on to a roof that was under renovation - lots of noise from construction equipment and workmen looking directly into our room. Surely check-in should have blocked this room from availability? We were moved to a room a couple of floors higher but the building noise was still audible first thing next morning - hardly conducive to a holiday lie-in.

Our room was clean, comfortable and adequate for our needs.

We have stayed at the Radisson Woodlands in the past and would return again in the future - but would check first that the hotel renovations had been completed.

Let us first apologize for the inconvenience during your recent stay wiht us... we were not actually renovating but making a repair on our room. We made every attempt to reserve our guests in rooms away from the repair and are sorry that the noise did not make for a restful stay. The good news: the repairs have been completed and we have a new roof! Of course, that's no excuse. We never want to inconvenience our guests with maintenance. Thank you so much for your patience and we do hope to see you soon on a future visit to Flagstaff.

The bar was the only poor customer service we had, everyone else was great. The sound of the ac/heat was so loud. They need to fix that issue. Rooms are small for the price. Great location, but feels like an old hotel that was partly renovated. Great sushi/hibachi restaurant in the hotel. I would say an average hotel with premium pricing.

I booked a king and was told all they had left was two queens and neither was a sleep number as was advertised. The air conditioner sounded like a rat was chewing on a Tupperware container full of pennies. They hot tub was sandier than the beach. Decent spot, but not at that price.

Our stay at the Radisson was very nice. The location was off the busy streets but also close enough to them to go to Target, chili's, Khols, Starbucks etc. We really took advantage of the laundry room since we stayed there for 4 nights and we had 4 adults. The only complaint, although minute, was that the housekeeper failed to replenish the coffee 3x and once didn't replenish the tp. For both we just went to the front desk and they quickly made it right. I have to cut the housekeeper some slack because it was spring break week and the place was packed. I would stay there again!

We recently stayed here while visiting the Grand Canyon. I wouldn't go back. Staff was friendly enough. When making the reservation 6 weeks before, I requested 2 joining rooms. There were unable to accommodate this. So we were continually going back and forth, letting people in or finding keys.

I honestly have not seen that sort of furniture in the rooms since the early 80's. Very dated but clean.

The entire room service menu is from the Japanese restaurant. Nothing appealing for kids. We ordered chicken noodle soup which was way too spicy for them. One of our water glasses had lipstick prints on it.

Breakfast in the other restaurant was good with a large menu.

Thank you for posting your review. Our front desk manager is currently researching the guest request issue concerning the connecting rooms. We do our very best to accommodate guest requests, especially when those reservations are made directly and we have more control over the booking. We understand the need for conveniences when traveling with others. We've also shared your concerns regarding the Food & Beverage experience with our F&B Manager - be assured your comments are heard and will be addressed with our staff.
We ARE happy to let you know that we will be going through renovations and upgrades to address concerns with the 'dated' furnishings... we'll be excited to have guests such as yourself return and experience our all new guestrooms very soon! We do appreciate your feedback and sharing with us and others.

Easy choice. Great customer service and very good rooms. If you are expecting a hotel that is comfortable and easy to get in and out then this is the place for you and your family. It has 2 great restaurants and very good bar. The Sakura restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Great atmosphere and perfect sushi. I wish every hotel was this good and easy when traveling with the family.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with family get the suite!
