“Premier room, comfy clean, cozy”
Reviewed August 11, 2011

The beds were comfortable, no adjustable machine beds, but firm, attractively dressed beds. Room was clean, unsure no fan in the bathroom, spacious and quiet. Upon entering greeted by a smile and knowledgeable young woman. She was mentoring a new employee and assisted where there might be confusion. The reservation was ready, the entire transaction took less than 15 min.

At the Radisson, we do have a choice in bed types... the Radisson Sleep Number beds (adjustable comfort) are our 'standard' but we also offer traditional beds upon request and availability. We are pleased that you enjoyed your bed, room and the service - that is our goal! We look forward to seeing you again.

This is an older hotel off the "main drag," but within close driving distance to the University and restaurants/bars. The staff here is fantastic, rooms are comfortable, but the air conditioning in the room we stayed in wasn't working. Not a great thing when it's August in Arizona!

We are sorry that you had problems with the A/C unit in your room - though temperatures are more comfortable than in Phoenix... you're correct, not a great thing in August! We always ask guests to please let us know if there is an issue prior to your departure so that we can resolve it before you leave to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We are pleased that you enjoyed the remainder of your stay and took advantage of our convenient location near NAU and the activities in Flagstaff.

We stay in flag a fair amount and usually end up at the springhill suites or hilton garden. I like some of the B&Bs in town (try the 410) but get tired of shelling out $160/nite + tax + fees. The cheaper hotels in the area are pretty dire. I ran across a deal at the radisson for $105 including a pizza and grabbed it. We recall staying here many years ago, perhaps under a different name, and not being impressed. Maybe the property has been turned recently because our impression has changed. Very comfortable, quiet enough, reasonable location to downtown (walk in, cab back). Plus we like the fact that there's a couple of restaurants on site and a bar.

Room Tip: upper floor facing away from Rt 66

Thank you for giving us another try... and for noticing the changes. Management and staff have been working very hard not only to update the amenities in our public areas and guestrooms, but also to ensure our service is oustanding - and to ensure we are providing value to our guests. We look forward to seeing you again on a future trip to Flagstaff. Look for specials we post online often to our fans.

We based ourselves in Flagstaff for five nights to explore the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Montezuma's Castle and were looking for a hotel which offered a little more than simply a room to rest our heads, including an outdoor pool for relaxing in after a busy day's sightseeing. The Radisson Woodlands Hotel proved to be a very good choice. Our booking requested a quiet room, away from elevators/stairwells and we were delighted with our allocated location. Staff at the front desk were helpful with everything from maps and directions to posting some mail for us. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed; we chose to pay the $10 for a fridge in our room so we had cold drinks ready for the next day's sightseeing which suited our needs well. As we were 10 days into a five week trip we needed some laundry doing - we dropped off the bundle at reception at 8.30am and it was ready when we returned at 6.30pm. The service was excellent and the ironing board/iron in the room was handy for items which needed it. We ate at the restaurant on our 4th night - the prix fixe for the two of us was good value, the steaks were fantastic and the service attentive. The free wireless internet service is very good. We could have stayed at cheaper hotels in Flagstaff but I'm glad we didn't; the Radisson was worth paying a bit extra for. We would certainly stay here again and would be happy to recommend it to family and friends.

I'm giving it 5 stars considering what we paid for it ($109). I paid more at a horrifying hotel in ABQ so I'm very satisfied with what we got for our money. The staff was nice and the service at the restaurant was also great. We spent the evening at the Sakura downstairs and had sake bombs and rolls.

We were lucky to get a nice room with a very nice bathroom. I asked for the Sleep Number bed and it was a good way to try it. We didn't have problems with ours and I was happy to be able to have a soft bed for once as my husband prefers the bed firm.

Another relief is we were able to find parking for our penske truck w car carrier.

If we're ever back in flagstaff, we would def stay here again.

The hotel is in a convenient location, right off old Rte. 66. It is close to a shopping plaza, grocery store, drug store and several restaurants nearby as well. There is a great Japonese Sushi place right in hotel lobby area and a more basic generic hotel restaurant with your basic fare, it was fine for breakfast. Downtown is about 1.5 miles away and the University even closer. Our room was clean and up to date. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We didnt use the moderately sized pool, but noticed that it was being enjoyed by several families on both days. I would stay there again.

We liked this hotel so much we stayed 2 extra nights! Even with the problems we had we liked the location, the comfort and the staff.

Ok, yes... We did have a few problems though they were easily fixed once the staff were on it. One side of the sleep number bed was deflating and after a few attempts the maintenance guy and I got it done. It took a few aborted attempts to work out the problem with the morning staff but the evening staff were all over it, good work by them but it should really have been fixed much sooner, i think the girl on reception in the morning didnt listen to the rundown of the problem or communicate it to the staff properly, she certainly didnt write the full problem down.

Due to the bed hassle taking hours of the evening when on the phone to reception we were offered a comp breakfast at the cafe style restaurant in the hotel. Nice touch, and easy to do for them of course to keep customers happy. However, when the paperowrk arrived this turned out to be a $25 voucher... hmm... by reigning in our spending our breakfast cost $25.32c. we signed that to our room and on check out were pleased that it was removed from the bill... but we would have just liked to see a voucher saying 'free', why provide a value, it seems a bit 'cheap'?

We also were told by the reception that if we wanted to add another night to our stay they couldnt just continue our rate, and that we would have to book online again. We did that twice and the last time the Radisson site messed up our names which caused the hotel to freak out thinking we didnt have a booking. After various calls and me proving my proof of my booking by showing the email confirmation on my laptop(!), they found it. The manager then assured me they can continue bookings and will do their best to maintain the rate etc. If the girl who served me first out knew that we would have saved a lot of hassle.

Ok so it wasnt without drama and it could have been better, but really this is a great hotel. We would happily stay here again. Most of the staff were amazing and the experience was more than god overall.
