The Wyndham is a time share that also rents units out
It is set a beautiful mountain setting, but it is close to down town Flagstaff
Flagstaff is a nice small city meaning you get everything you need like a large city
The Northern Az. University is located here, which means lots of little stores and cafes
The best restaurant we found was Salsa Brava
Flagstaff is good jumping off place/Grand Canyon/Sedona one day for each
The Lowell Observatory is here they give tours and do programs really great
7 hour drive from Los Angles give or take what stops you make on the way
Go enjoy the resort and town and the mountains

I booked using weeks from RCI. The location is very good, and central to everything. About 2 hours to Grand Canyon, 1 hour to Sedona, and 45 minutes to Williams. We went to all these locations and enjoyed them all. We had a two bedroom unit for 2 adults and 2 kids, and the space was great. It is a three level unit, so lots of stairs. The master bedroom was upstairs and had it's own bathroom with a combined tub and shower. The only thing on the main level was the second bedroom with two twin beds, and a bathroom with combined shower and tub. The upper level had a kitchen, dining room and living room. The pool seemed fun but we never used it. Being able to use the Continental Country Club next door was great. We went golfing twice. Adult rates for twilight inc cart was only $18!! Nice course to play.

As HGVC members, we converted our points into RCI, then booked into this Wyndham resort. We just completed a 1 week stay (July 28-Aug 4) in a 2BR deluxe side by side unit. It's a lock-off style unit with Unit A being larger than Unit B. PROS: Both units were clean, updated and well maintained. The units have a flat screen T.V. in the living rooms and picture tube T.V.s in the bedrooms. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. We have no issues with the beds and linens. Master bedroom in Unit A has a large Jacuzzi tub. Kitchen has granite counter tops (A unit) and plenty of utensils. The living room has a new leather couch and chair (A unit). Staff is very friendly at Rec Center and staff in main office is very supportive when needing supplies. CONS: The fold-out bed from the couch is unusable. The mattress is so thin that I cannot image anyone over 50 lbs sleeping on it. Sleeping on it should not be an option for older children or adults. Wi-Fi is really slow. If you plan to download a movie to a phone or tablet for the plane ride home, do it a day or 2 before you leave.

The best part of the resort is that it is perfectly located between Sedona and the Grand Canyon. We spent most of our time in exploring Northern AZ. If your vacation plans are to visit the various sites in Northern AZ, then this resort is for you. This is monsoon season, so plan activities in the morning or early afternoon. By 2:00pm, the isolated thunderstorms roll in. For us, we were able to hit all of the sites with minimal disruption from the rain. We enjoyed Walnut Canyon, Grand Canyon, Pink Jeep Tours, Bearizona, hiking in Oak Creek Canyon, Slide Rock Park, Williams and Seligman (small town based in the Cars movie). The only site that was only so-so was the Painted Desert. We drove through it, but I would not recommend making a special trip to see it.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Flagstaff and would stay here again. One more thing, the temperatures in Flagstaff are amazing, lows in the 50s and highs in the upper 70s. Open the screen doors at night and enjoy the cool air.

Room Tip: Avoid using sleeper sofa as a sleeping option for adults.

I got two units for my family, a 2 bedroom and a 2 bedroom plus, the units are a little dated, but were clean and everything worked. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had great views. The only downside was the 2 bedroom didn't have any ceiling fans but the 2 bedroom plus had 4. The best part was the staff, anytime we needed something they were johnny on the spot with whatever we needed. Everyone was nice and friendly and extremely accommodating.... Am looking forward to my next visit next year.

Room Tip: I had unit R6 which was right down the street from the activity center. Has a Jacuzzi on the back d...

We had a great time at Wyndham Flagstaff Resort. We had 2 adults and 2 children (7 & 10 girls). We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit with a pull out couch, full kitchen, dining table, flat screen tvs in living room and bedroom, stackable washer & dryer, & balcony. It was very clean too. The rec center was just down the street and the girls loved it. They have a kiddy pool, regular pool, hot tub, miniture golf, pool tables, ping pong table, theater room, computers, xbox computers, smoothies, breakfast, ice cream, Starbucks coffee, etc. It had everything that you would need. Everyone was very nice to checking in, and checking out. We didn't have any problems. Loved it and can't wait to come back again and stay here.

Great location, out of the main town but in a great area. Close to the shops, though not walking. Rooms are well equipped. The smaller one bedroom are significantly smaller than the larger ones, so get the A side if you can. We stayed in B and it was adequate for two adults and two kids who are willing to share a sofa bed. The main reception is a car ride from the room, though that's not a problem. There is a pool, jacuzzi, kids pool, games room, movie room (movies show at 4 and 7 each day), 9-hole mini golf course, Starbucks and ice-cream bar on the accommodation side of the property and that is all walking distance. Flagstaff itself is an awesome place to explore all that Northern Arizona has to offer. See my other reviews to read where we went to. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: If going for a one-bedroom, the A side is significantly larger than the B side.

We spent two weeks at the resort and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The condo was very clean, nicely furnished and up-to-date. The grounds were very well maintained. The upstairs back patio was surrounded by Ponderosa trees - like having our own tree house. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was very helpful concerning activities, events, and side trips. The Bear Paw rec center was great for an ice cream, a coffee or a dip in the pool.
There was no push to get a "timeshare update" . Lot's to do in the Flagstaff area and some really good restaurants.
We're planning to return next year.
