“Nice Family Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

I stayed here with my Husband and two kids. We like suites because the kids go to bed early and that allows us to stay up later. Both rooms had a TV and comfortable bedding. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa. I got a free glass of wine at the 'manager's reception'. Cooked to order breakfast was good, but go before 8am because they run out of seating.

Thank you for your great review! We are so pleased to have exceeded your expectations. While you are right, it can be very busy during high traffic times, each day tends to be a little different in our breakfast area. We try and manage our high traffic times as best as we can and are pleased to know that you were able to enjoy our great cooked-to-order breakfast.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

This Embassy Suites is an older hotel. Our room had new-ER furniture and large TV's in bedroom and living room. However, the bathroom was extremely small and needs upgrading. We reported issues for maintenance when we checked out.
The staff - fantastic!! Extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was above average. Freshly made omelets by a cook that knows what he's doing. Lots of fresh fruit choices. Only complaint was at 7:30 in the morning they were out of milk - a MUST for me with breakfast. Overall, it was a bit expensive for the amenities and room.

I've stayed in many hotels in Flagstaff from the $45/night "Train Motel" to the Hilton. This stay was merely average. I expected much more for the price. We stayed 3 nights for a couples getaway. Our room (121) has a window to the pool. It's loud during the day with family and kids. The hotel itself seems to attract a large amount of families. Not really the best choice for couples. Room 121 also connects to another room. The walls are thin. During the day, the neighbors fought and yelled constantly. I heard every bit of their fight. I didn't partake in the complimentary drinks as that is not my lifestyle. Complimentary breakfast was horrible the first morning through not much fault of the hotel. A large team was occupying most of the dining seats. Staff just couldn't keep up with the food demand. They do need a larger dining room. Our room was average to slightly above average. I love a softer bed so for us, it was heavenly. The pillows were some of the best I've ever had! The bathroom was again average. Basics supplied. Convenience overpriced.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate you taking the time to give us this feedback, as we are consistently trying to improve. We apologize for the crowds during your stay, and the fact that they did not appear to be managed as effectively as possible. Despite the occasional high traffic in our lobby during check-in and breakfast time, our staff truly does do their best to ensure that things run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, and we are sorry that this was not the case during your stay. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you, should you choose to stay with us again. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we hope to welcome you back in the near future.

Kind Regards,

The room was roomy and quiet. We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and evening reception where the kids could play with others in the grassy area or pool. It was a great vacation. We'd stay here again.

My family and I visit the cool pines and high mountains in the Flagstaff area during the summer to get out of the desert heat (Phoenix). We enjoy staying at the Embassy Suites in Flagstaff. The staff is very friendly. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well kept. The complimentary breakfasts are delicious too.

My reviews are typically positive, wanting to tip my fellow reviewers on good places to stay, but I'm making an exception in this case because my experience was truly poor. First of all, I was told my request for a quiet location was going to be honored only to find my first floor bedroom opened up to the courtyard pool, scores of screaming kids splashing around. When I called to the front desk I was informed my room (#137) was a quiet location and I was the first customer the desk attendant had ever had complain about noise. REALLY?! All I can say is they must have only had deaf folks staying in that room. Then there was the noisy fridge, the bedroom tv that didn't work, the musty smell and the mushy mattresses---topped off by the "free breakfast" which I never got because the seating is so limited there was no place to sit. Not sure why I'm giving Embassy Suites that second star---just feeling generous I guess!!

Rooms are pretty small and furniture/carpet needs updating/cleaning, but overall not bad. Beds are comfy, two huge flat screen TVs were nice. Staff was nice and friendly. Even though the rooms are so so, I would probably come back for the free Happy Hour and complimentary made to order breakfast alone. That saves both time and money. If you're expecting fancy this is not your place. But for a quick weekend trip it's fine.
