Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites
Ranked #11 of 66 Hotels in Flagstaff

We love Best Westerns, but this is our least favorite we've stayed at. It was overpriced for nothing special. The room was small and poorly lit and the beds were extremely hard. The temperature in the room was terrible; it was 40 degrees out but sweltering in. We even turned on the AC (in October!) but it didn't help. The breakfast was one of the best we've seen, but that alone isn't worth the price we paid. Next time we're in Flagstaff, we will stay elsewhere.

We have absolutely no complaints about this Best Western. The staff members were courteous and helpful, the room was lovely and clean, the breakfast bounteous and satisfying. From the time we checked in until we checked out we felt relaxed and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend this Best Western to others.

While National Parks were closed, Best Western was eager to maintain a pleasant vacation by provided excellenst service. I stayed at Grand Canyon Squire and Flagstaff Hotels. Both were excellent places to stay the night.

Great value for all the amenities that the hotel offers. The front desk ladies were friendly and very helpful in answering all my questions. The room was well equipped which contributed to comfortable experience.

We originally booked 2 nights at this Best Western, and checked out one day early. The hotel was old and dingy, with intermittent noise from trains during the night. We booked the hotel primarily because it was pet-friendly, but the front desk clerk was not very friendly when explaining their pet policy (e.g. if you leave your pet unattended in your room, we will try and call you. If we cannot reach you, we will call animal control to have the pet removed) We are responsible pet owners and never leave our pet unattended in a room, so this 'warning' made us feel very unwelcome. We checked online and booked the Drury Inn and Suites the next night - a much nicer pet friendly hotel. Also, there was no fitness center, but the breakfast was good and the Route 66 paraphernalia was nice.

The room was very clean, and we had 2 bathrooms with a sofa sleeper and King bed. Loved all of the room we had. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The beds were better than most. The breakfast in the morning was better than expected. We were close to the train tracks, however I stayed at the Travelodge down the road and could hear the train more than I could inside my room at the Best Western. Liked the pool area, kind of wish the outdoor area by the pool had heaters, so we could of stayed out a little longer. But over all I would recommend this place to anyone.

Jeff helped us at the front desk and he totally exceeded my expectations! They have a separate building for breakfast which was cool, lots of room for hungry travelers in the morning. We walked 6 blocks for dinner, which I am coming up with a blank for the name but it was an independently owned brick oven pizza place. Great service and great food.
