Excellent base to explore N Arizona - the cottage at 919 N Beaver was a perfect location, clean and comfortable and the 'light breakfast' left out lasted 4 days.

Welcoming and warm and everything you could need.

We were on a family vacation in Northern AZ, and used Flagstaff as our base for traveling around. We stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage at N. Beaver.

Check-in is as simple as arriving at the cottage, settling in and calling Pat or Ed (very friendly, very knowledgeable about the are) upon arrival to confirm that you have arrived.

It was perfectly equipped for a family on vacation that loves to cook and eat at home. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. The living is a really nice space with a couch to die for. The house is centrally heated. Kitchen has a microwave, gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, enough dishes and utensils. The utility room has a refrigerator (which was stocked with breakfast goodies), washer and dryer with laundry detergent sitting close by. We couldn't enjoy the deck or outdoor grill because it was still chilly in Flagstaff, but that's something we are looking forward to on our next trip there.

A grocery store is located within walking distance (pretty much next door), as is downtown Flagstaff.

This was our first time staying in a house, rather than at a hotel, and thanks to this experience, as long as the area has a house available, I don't believe we will ever stay at a hotel on our future vacations!

This business could not be more aptly named. We chose this location in Flagstaff because of its proximity to the Grand Canyon. We did not want to stay in a hotel as we were traveling with 5 adults and two children under the age of 4. The three bedroom cottage which also has a bed in the loft could not have suited us better. We walked in and immediately felt at home. The decor and feel of the place is so relaxing and comfortable we all agreed that it would be nice to spend and entire week and do nothing but read - and enjoy the place with all of the natural sunlight and coziness. I would recommend these cottages and the hospitality by the owners to everyone I know whether for a weekend getaway or an extended vacation. The place is immaculately clean, and a great value with all of the comforts of home!

We stayed at the Beale St. cottage with our two children (ages 6 and 3) and with dear friends and their two children (ages 9 and 6). This 4 bedroom, 2 bath property was delightful and perfect for our visit. Clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, lunches and dinners. Pat, the owner, made sure the fridge was stocked with all our desired breakfast items. The backyard was great for the kids to run around and the living room was perfect for the adults to socialise after the kids had gone to bed. The cost was very reasonable as it actually saved our families money and was a lot more comfortable and practical than two hotel rooms would have been. We loved staying here!

Comfi Cottages turned out to be, on balance, a very nice surprise. We were concerned about the noise on Columbus Street (owner did make us aware of it) but were surprised at the extent and volume. Although it did not ruin the experience it was quite bad during the day and some may find it objectionable. After dark it quiets down a lot. Some of the noise may be associated with some road construction taking place further down the highway. OK, all that said the house was very cute and well cared for given it’s age. Everything worked fine. There is no AC in this cottage that we could find, but we did not ask the owner as it was not necessary based on the weather. The cottage is located well within walking distance of the old part of town and it’s an invigorating walk back up the hill. We truly enjoyed it. We would stay at Comfi Cottages again and would recommend it to others.

February 22-24, 2007

Our spur of the moment trip to Flagstaff, AZ will now become an annual tradition, due in large part to the hospitality of Pat & Ed, the owners of Comfi Cottages. They went above and beyond to tell us about places to go in and around Flagstaff.

Their cottages were much more than what you could see on the website. If I were to buy a cabin or cottage in pine country, I would decorate it as warm and lovingly as Pat has decorated her cottages.

Thank you Pat & Ed for a wonderful experience!

We just returned from a long weekend getaway at the Comfi Cottages and have never been more relaxed. We headed to Flagstaff to escape the terrible Texas heat (yes, even in October). Spent 3 nights in the upstairs unit of a cottage on Birch Street and had a lovely visit. The cottage was furnished with overstuffed furniture that you could snuggle into in front of the fireplace. We had to make ourselves go out! We loved being able to make our own breakfast from the ample provisions provided by owner Pat Weibe before our arrival. No feeling forced out of the room by overzealous maids -- you can do everything on your own schedule. The cottage was just a very short walk to historic downtown and two lovely parks. We walked everywhere and felt like we actually lived in Flagstaff! The neighbors were even welcoming! We're already planning our next visit!
