“Nice Hotel & Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Stayed one night before heading to the Grand Canyon - friendly front desk, easy check-in except for no luggage carts available. The One Bedroom Terrace suite was fabulous and spacious with great view. The room was clean but kinda dark living room - walked across street to 1899 Bar & Grill for dinner - very handy!

Drury Inn seem to know how to do things right. In downtown Flag right on the NAU campus. Plenty of complimentary covered parking. Actually can get a complete dinner at night with a coupon for 2 free drinks and a complete warm breakfast in the morning. Comfortable, quiet, with a friendly staff and they are pet friendly! Tastefully decorated large rooms with fridges and good TV with multiple digital stations. No train noise.
Reasonable rates.

Always happy and satisfied with our stays at Drury Inn & Suites. That being said we were dismayed to discover on arrival that management was "test piloting" a $10.00 fee for pets at the Flagstaff location. We have stayed at this and other Drury hotels numerous times in the past and have felt more than welcomed by their true pet friendly amenity. I hope the local and corporate management reconsiders this new fee. Granted it is quite reasonable and we had no problem paying it but to qualify as a true "pet friendly" establishment there should be no fees for persons traveling with their canine best friends.

I stayed with out-of-state family members visiting Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon on June 2013. The hotel, although not as "new" looking as other Drury Inns I've stayed in, fit the bill for its convenient location to Northern AZ attractions. It sits right next to (if not in) the Northern AZ University campus. The hotel's lobby is nice and clean although the room corridors seem a little tired, not surprisingly so, considering the high volume of guests coming and going. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with separate living room and balcony. The room had a king sized bed and the living room had a sofa bed. Each room also had a flat screen tv. Our room (on the 6th floor) was clean although the bed was not particularly comfortable and might benefit from a new mattress. The kitchenette area in the room had a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and sink; no utensils or plates included in the cupboards, nor dish-washing liquid for the sink, but it is still great to re-heat leftover take-out. The bathroom was a very comfortable size, and we loved the flush saving toilets- very eco friendly. The bedroom, living room and bathroom were clean and housekeeping serviced the room every day. The eating area near the lobby was immaculate with an adequate assortment of hot and cold breakfast offerings which the chef (attired in appropriate garb) frequently replenished. The evening reception, available every day including weekends (!!) had simple yet more than adequate food offerings (salad, hot-dogs, mac and cheese, baked potatoes, chili, chips, sodas, coffee and alcoholic beverages) for the tired and weary after a long day of sightseeing; although the Saturday evening reception we attended was a mad house- so many, many people for a limited number of tables! Hint: try to go to the reception when it begins at 5:30 PM. Coffee and sodas are available 24/7 in the reception area. We chose this hotel for its convenient location and easy drive to many Northern AZ attractions (Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Petrified Forrest, etc.) Judging by the volume of guests, it seems to be a very popular hotel in the area. It is also conveniently located to eateries and a Safeway supermarket in a nearby shopping center. Check-in was easy and my reservation and requests honored. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking was complimentary and we always found a spot near the front door, although the hotel has a parking building off the second floor corridor. The area seemed very safe and was well lighted. Drury Inns are pet friendly, a feature that I have enjoyed when I've traveled in the past with a pet. Although we did see guests with pets, we didn't hear them, and our room was very quiet and conducive to rest. The hotel has elevators and an indoor pool, but we did not use the pool for lack of time. Overall we had a good experience at this Drury Inn.

We stayed here to go to the Grand Canyon. What a great choice! It was our first time at a Drury Inn and I was impressed! The room was clean and spacious. The pull out couch in our suite was comfortable as were the beds in the adjacent room. The pool and hot tub were great and very clean. The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. You really felt like you were at home.
The morning breakfast had a great selection and the food bar and serving area was very clean. We will be sure to stay at another Drury Inn.

Very family friendly, within driving distance for a day trip to the Grand Canyon, and they offer a great military rate.

Stayed 1 night while we picked up our daughter from college. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The "social hour" was really fun and actually had good food as well as the free breakfast. The rooms were pretty big and very clean. Highly recommend it.

Only stayed one night on the way to California, but the hotel was nice, clean and offered many amenities. We were unable to enjoy the morning breakfast and evening drinks and food but knew it was available. Only complaint was the dogs barking, but that's not the hotel's fault. Nice to know there are still hotels friendly to dogs. Would stay again.
