My wife and I had read good reviews of Brix and we always enjoy choosing a new place to celebrate our anniversary so we decided to make an overnight trip to Flagstaff and dine at Brix for dinner. Making our reservation my wife noted it was for an anniversary and we were seated in a small room off to the side. Perfect! Until moments later a family of five celebrating an 11 year old's birthday was seated next to us. We were still waiting for our appetizer as our server took their order and left to enter it. We spent the entire meal "behind" the family in service although we had arrived first and were only two people. I had to ask my wife to repeat herself during conversation and the server to repeat himself during the dessert descriptions because the family was too loud. Not unexpectedly our bill was approx. $150; we have dined at many places in the Metro Phoenix area at this price point. The experience at Brix does not warrant them being in this league. Tarbell's, Orange Sky at Talking Stick Resort, Compass Room; We wish we had stayed in town and revisited any of them! Brix is not ready to price themselves in their league either for the food or the experience.

Brix was recommended to us by friends who always glow about by Brix when they visit Flagstaff. We are now confirmed Brix diners for every trip to Flagstaff. Reservations are suggested, since Brix is very popular.
We loathe chain dining, so Brix was perfect for us. Located in an very old carriage house with lots of history. Brix has many rooms with 3 - 5 tables, so dining is very intimate. Service was prompt and attentive. From our appetizers, soup or salad, and to main courses - everything was spectacular! The wine suggestion was spot on, and the Dirty Martini was exceptionally just right! We were so stuffed, we had to forgo desert until next visit.
Be sure to put Brix on your schedule, and you will not be disappointed.

This restaurant proved a gemstone in this mountain town. My twin, three friends and I met here to celebrate being alive! We had planned simple cheese and wine, but as the evening wore on and the atmosphere imbued us with such a sense of well being, we proceeded on to dinner and desert and after dinner drinks. Of note was the ability of the staff to handle our sole "special diet friend" with charm and grace. Changes were made without undue fuss (what a blessing for him). The Argentinian Los Altos Malbec was sensual and the perfect match for our cheeses. Steven, our waiter, was tops on the list for making this gathering so memorable. The crème brule' was to die for! Certainly, this is the one spot for very special gatherings....intimate, not overly fussy, but first class from start to finish. Highly recommend.

We dined at Brix twice recently--and couldn't have been more pleased with each experience. Brix doesn't disappoint: the menu is friendly but imaginative, the prices are reasonable, the wine list is solid, and the service is knowledgeable and attentive. Can one ask for more? Stephen, our bartender, was helpful and enthusiastic; Becca, our server, was friendly and happy to explain recipes...and the food was just delicious and attractively presented! From lobster bisque to crispy pork shank...chilled and creamy Caesar salad to Chicken coq au vin: the meals were terrific! No, there is no view and occasionally the noise level might be a bit high in the smaller dining room, but we would go back in a heartbeat! Do yourself a favor and book a table soon!

Wonderful reviews about Brix led us into visiting, and it has to be said that the atmosphere was great. After starting with cocktails, we moved on to salads, which were delicious and small-to-moderate sized. I ordered the pan seared bronzini on potato, but it came with a somewhat small fish for the price paid. Coffee tasted good at $3 per cup. However, I felt the portions were too small relative to the prices paid for them.
