“HOSPITALITY SUPERB”

Loved the location, the furnishings, house and especially the hospitality of hosts Richard and Laurel. The room was very comfortable, cozy and breakfast in the dining area was delicious. They were very gracious and informative on the history of the home and how they came to become the owners. We also got to check out a special room that was quite a treat and I'll leave it like that. You'll have to go there and see it for yourself. The walk into the historic district was very pleasant. All in all, we will stay there again most certainly, sit on the front porch and drink wine.

Room Tip: The room in the back of the house is a two room suite perfect for a cozy hideaway.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our two nights this past weekend. We will be back to savor the gourmet treats (not only breakfast!) but also to enjoy the vast knowledge of our charming hosts, Laurel and Richard. Our trip to Flagstaff from Tucson would not have been nearly as delightful without their expert guidance. We saw so much and yet had time to relish the history of England House as we rested up from our busy days. The room was comfortable and classy; we could have been in a European castle -- with all the modern conveniences, of course! Our hosts are well experienced at pampering guests. We will return!

Best location to enjoy old town Flagstaff. Richard and Laurel could not be more charming and helpful. They truly made you feel appreciated and welcomed. We will defineately stay at the England House next year when we again visit Flagstaff!

This was our first time at a bed & breakfast and it exceeded all of our expectations. When we arrived Richard took us on a tour of the historic house which he and his wife Laurel have restored beautifully. It truly was like stepping back in time. The pressed tin ceilings, the original lighting fixtures, the elegant antique furnishings were all perfect. We stayed in the Star Gazer room which was romantic and so very comfortable. The linens and bed were to die for. There were refreshments available whenever we liked, fresh baked treats and a lovely chocolate lab named Kessie. Richard gave us a map and pointed out some great restaurants, all within walking distance. At his suggestion, we ate dinner at Pasto which may have been the best meal I've ever had. The breakfast Richard and Laurel served us was just delicious. I love that they use organic fruits and vegetables. Laurel was even so kind as to give me the recipe. Overall the stay was a unique and remarkable experience you just cannot have at a hotel. We would love to return.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at England House. We chose this BnB on a whim as we decided to stop through Flagstaff on our way through AZ. Well, we liked it so much we decided to stay a second night. It was a no-brainer! The house was so charming, comfortable and the historic feeling really adds a lot to your stay. It really does feel like a home away from home.
You can tell Laurel and Richard really do care, and they enjoy their work. It shows in the details. The breakfasts were DELICious, and Richard is quite the jokester. It's basically a given that I'll recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Flagstaff.

Recently we spent 3 days at the England Houseand thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Laural and Richard were most gracious and we felt as if we had known them for years after a very short time. The Inn was very clean and well appointed and the breakfasts were wonderful. They knew the area well and gave very good advice on where to eat and what to see. We plan on returning in the future and it will feel like visiting old friends.

We stayed three nights in the Song Catcher Suite to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The room was elegant and the bed was extremely comfortable. Authentic period furniture (that is comfortable to sit on) is used throughout the home. All the rooms are decorated to evoke period charm without a busy or cluttered feel.

I felt as though I was transported back in time. After iceskating I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the original clawfoot tub with classical music playing in the background. I was able to sip my afternoon tea in the parlor . After a short walk into town for dinner, we enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch while sipping wine.

The Inn keepers go above and beyond in everyway. Rooms are refreshed daily, healthy gourmet breakfast food, constant supply of homebaked cookies, wine, tea, coffee and fresh flowers. The hosts also have extensive local knowledge of area attractions and can offer many sightseeing and restaurant suggestions. They also have extensive knowledge of period home restoration and rennovation after transforming this home into a B&B and doing much of the work themselves.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and appreciate all the efforts of our hosts to make our anniversary memorable.

Room Tip: The three rooms on the second floor are all good options. The Stonecutter has a seperate sitting roo...
