We stopped for lunch and loved the table by the fireplace. So warm and inviting! Our waiter was pleasant and we enjoyed our meal. Asian beef lettuce wraps. Would definitely go back again!

Very disappointed in my first time visit to Josephine's. The bar could not make the drinks we ordered for lack of an ingredient. Our second choice drinks were very disappointing - didn't even taste like a margarita. We ordered the lamb chops special and my medium rare came out very rare. The chops were paper thin and flavorless. Very surprised for a place that is rated as a fine dining restaurant. The server was very efficient and desert was good.

The french onion short ribs were melt in your mouth. Would have given a better rating except for a few things. We stopped there without reservations as we were just passing through town, the hostess gave off a vibe that we were a big inconvenience to them. However, the manager came along and found us a seat on the covered front porch, warm and cozy. Ordered a Mojito, was told they were out of mint, hmmm .....waiter suggested another drink, of course much more expensive.

After hearing many positive recommendations from Flagstaff locals, my husband and I finally had dinner here. The food was wonderful.

We started with a pancetta salad. I had short ribs. My husband had crab cakes. For dessert we had zeppoles (doughnut and fruit). The menu has interesting dishes that other run-of -the-mill restaurants do not feature.

The restaurant is located in a renovated house that used to belong to the Babbitts, a well-known, early Flagstaff family. The seating is primarily on the first floor.

The second floor has three rooms. At least two of them had angled ceilings due to the roof. We walked through and saw a group of businessmen having a business meeting. I did not like the second floor ambiance as well.

The restaurant is small. Having a reservation is highly advisable.

The bar is small. Plan on having drinks at your table.

Josephine’s has a decent-sized parking lot, but not big enough for a really long vehicle like an RV. There appears to be some on-the-street parking across the street from a nearby school, but I didn’t check to see whether it was posted with no parking signs.

When we return to Flagstaff we definitely want to eat at Josephine’s.

Disappointing first time visit. Not really greeted as we entered. Ordered prickly pear Margaritas and told they were out of pp syrup & couldn’t make them . Took regular instead and not very good. Ordered the special of lamb chops and they were super thin and my medium rare came out rare. No bread served . Zeppoles for dessert were good and our waiter was efficient and pleasant. Bottom line: not a satisfactory experience for a restaurant that is supposed to be one of best fine dining places in Flagstaff.
