“Great family sledding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

This is a great place (if there is snow) to take your younger kids to sled. Very safe. Staff and very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help us since we were just passing threw and did not have what we needed to sled.

“Family Fun for $15!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

This place is great! We already owned some sleds, but if you don't, plan ahead and bring some with you to save money for a family or group. It's only open when it has been snowing, we got lucky it snowed just a few days before we arrived. Parking is $15 per vehicle. We had a family of five including our baby so that's $3 per person for all day fun!
There are tiny hills for toddlers off on the side away from the big kids... there's a medium hill and the big hill. If you have boys like mine, they used their sleds to "snowboard" down the medium hill... but somehow I doubt they encourage this! We went over the big hill and explored the natural side of the mountain to build a snowman. It was sunny, gorgeous blue skies and truly a beautiful place to enjoy with your family. I suppose the snow depth affects quality but it was the best day and worth the short drive.
After a couple of hours of sledding, we sat over by the fire pit with hay bales for chairs, nice to warm up for a few minutes. They sold hot water and hot cocoa packs which we got to enjoy by that fire. The price was cheap, but I would have preferred them to open the package and stir it in for me. haha Does that sound too picky?? IDK It was just kind of a pain to make 4 cups resting on a bale of hay and mixing with a coffee stir stick with 2 anxious boys that want to get back to sledding and a baby wanting a nap. LOL I saw some "experienced" families enjoying a pre-planned lunch they packed while sitting in their vehicles. Thought that was a nice idea and when I return I'll do the same.

“Blast of Family Fun at a very competitive price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

Finding a place to sled with your family in open slopes at different inclination and difficulty levels, without trees is not easy, normally you find a good spot but neither is open to the public nor is free of trees, rocks and safe for sledding.

Wing Mountain Snow Play is very close to downtown Flagstaff (approx. 20 minutes) and easy access from the main road. It is ideal for families with children, youngsters and adults all combined, eager to spend a good time with the snow. You choose you own slope inclination and length and have all day to enjoy.

Bring your own sleds or rent them in the place and get ready to have fun.

“Great $15 Investment ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2013 via mobile

Was sceptical of paying to sled on free snow but was worth it.Our family had a blast. Was not as dangerous since they have cleared ample room to sled. Would recomend future sleders to buy your sled before you come or you will pay $25 bucks to ReNt.At local gas station we payed $15 for a large plastic sled $10 for smaller. Nothing's free here including hot drinks.
