Description: Beaver Street Brewery was the first brewery to open in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1994. Since then they have cultivated a unique atmosphere for Flagstaff locals and visitors. The open kitchen creates a fun atmosphere where you can watch your food being made and entertain you on the on nights with a wait. The menu is full of classic American cuisine with a unique twist. We have a separate 21 and over bar - Brews & Cues with the same menu but with a more adult atmosphere and Billiards!

“OK, but nothing special”
Reviewed October 5, 2010

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night on the recommendation of the hotel front desk. It was a short walk from NAU. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, then were seated in a booth furthest away from the entrance, near the street windows. Once we got the menus we realized that the menu selection was limited and it wasn't going to be quiet or even half quiet meal. We didn't want gourmet but a bigger selection than burgers, tacos, pizza and salad would've been nice. The noise level in the place was very loud, there was a constant din throughout the meal, so don't go here if you want a meal with some good conversation...most of the time you won't be able to hear each other without having to talk very loudly. Food was OK, nothing great, my son, who loves freshly cooked burgers (not the McD type) wasn't impressed with his meal and left half the burger. The shrimp tacos we had were nothing special either. My salad was alot of lettuce, and there could've been more toppings on it. Server took order, came to check on us once, then brought the bill. Not brillaint service, but I guess they were busy and stretched thinly. Personally I wouldn't go back, as the choice of food is limited and the noise level is on the high side. Food is OK, but not outstanding.

“Fun place, very popular with locals, decent beer”
Reviewed September 27, 2010

The Beaver Street Brewery is one of many restaurants in the Flagstaff area, and seems to be frequented by both students and staff from Northern Arizona University. We were there on a Friday night at about 6:30 or so and the place was packed, though the staff had no problem finding a table for our group of four. The popularity of the place also provides its one negative...it was noisy, and it was hard to make conversation.

The menu covers everything from burgers and pizza to more substantial fare. Our two college-student companions had the burger and pizza, while we had Andouille sausage over red beans and rice, and two kinds of bratwurst with cinnamon apples, red cabbage, and mashed potatoes. The burger looked substantial, the pizza was a 10", and the two sausage dishes were huge...both provided enough leftovers for a decent meal the next day (and I tend to be a big eater!).

I feel that if you can see through a glass of beer, it's not worth drinking, so I tried their in-house-brewed oatmeal stout. I didn't detect the hint of chocolate they said was there, but it was a decent pint nevertheless...I'd drink it again.

Good place...go there.

“Bad food, average brews: your typical new-world feeding.”
Reviewed August 28, 2010

Can't disagree more with all the positive reviews. I found the Beaver Street Brewery a mediocre big restaurant with a wannabe-old-fashioned pub atmosphere, shallow service, terrible to average brews and uncreative fast food. Their burger tasted odd and the meat caused flatulence and made me want to see the toilet way too many times after I had eaten it. Most other waiters seemed kinda nosy, too.
Just an average sports-bar-type that lacks hospitality and cordiality.
Go elsewhere, Flagstaff can do better.

“Lauren is top notch, with food and drinks to match”
Reviewed August 28, 2010

A short walk from NAU campus, worth the effort! Good mix of families, couples, "blue hairs". It appears families with small children are kept a distance from others...THANKS! VG food, raspberry beer was crisp, we had leftovers after a 9 hour drive...you should NOT walk away hungry. Our waitress Lauren was very service oriented and patient. Save room for chocolate bread pudding or fruit cobbler! You will appreciate the walk back to campus after the meal, drinks, and socializing. Only bummer---no chicken wings to go with the beer!

“Great Beer and food family friendly”
Reviewed July 30, 2010

Family friendly excellent IPA. Good size portions. Nice staff. My wife ordered the pizza with a bunch of vegetable toppings that had a white cheese for sauce. Two big thumbs up.. We would go back again and again.
