Wife and I went here for a nice dinner out. We have not been to an outback, so we went for the experience and of course the steak!
There is a large menu surrounded by their focus on steaks. I ordered the Ribeye, 14oz cooked on the woodfire grill with special seasoning. You have the ability to choose several "sides" and how to have it cooked.
One thing I've noticed in visiting steak houses, is how you order the steak, comes one degree over cooked. Order medium, its medium well. This is due to sitting in the warmer after it comes off the grill.
I heard about the blooming onion, but opted not to. The steak and sides were plenty!
Great experience and service was provided. With this being a college town, many of the servers were college age. Don't let this sway your vote with eating here. They were very professional and made sure your glass of drink was always full, and there was always complimentary bread on your table.
One special tip: on busy nights (Friday, Saturday) CALL AHEAD!!! Have them put you on the wait list with the estimated time you will arrive. I called 1 hour ahead. We arrived and our wait was estimated at 10 minutes. No more than 30 seconds later our handheld buzzer went off and we were seated. Others had been waiting more than 45 minutes for a table without call ahead reservations.
