A excellent value for military families! Check their website for seasonal dates and weather updates. It is not uncommon for extreme temperature changes in the evenings -- even during the Arizona summers!

Had a blast with my family of six girls. They all loved it and talk about it until this day. Every time we are in the area they ask to go back. We have made it one of our get out of Phoenix spots!!!

This small military museum traces local military history from the days of the horse cavalry and Native scouts to the latest engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jam-packed with memorabilia! If you are lucky, one of the founders might do a tour for you - a special treat from a well-versed historian. It's a small building, but worth your time, especially if you are a military history buff.

This museum is a must see in Flagstaff. Housed in one of the original builiding on the grounds of Fort Tuthill, which was considered one of the finest National Guard training facilities in the United States, the museum traces over 100 years of Arizona Military history and the 158th Infantry Regiment Arizona National Guard, coined Bushmasters after the coiled snake in Panama.

Don't let the small looking exterior deter you. There are extensive displays of military artifacts and exhibits depicting conflicts though modern day. Tours are available. It is a definite wow! I will be back. There is so much to see. I purchased a few souvniers in the gift shop. It's a great way to learn about and appreciate military history. The curators do a great job preserving and honoring the service of he 158th.

It's open from the first weekend in May through the last weekend in September. Museum Hours are Saturdays and Sundays - 10:00 to 4:00. Fees vary. There are special events so check the website: www.forttuthill.org
