“Cute downtown...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013

fun and funky...lots of little restaurants, publs and stores. I especially enjoyed Sacred Rites on N San Francisco street, a wonderful collection of items from all spiritual traditions as well as musical instruments (bells, gongs, flutes, and more). Parking downtown is hard to find, check out the little alleys, since there are some off the main streets that have two hour parking.

“Downtown Flag is Pretty Cool These Days”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

We remember when most of it was boarded up and it was Wino Haven. Now there's lots of brew-pubs, some great and some not so great places to eat, the Art Walk is really cool. Flagstaff Lumber is now a hip brew pub and restaurant. Macy's European Coffeehouse is the Gold Standard. The Weatherford Hotel, once sold for its stone (!!!) is the architectural showpiece of the town. Don't miss the Zane Gray bar upstairs. Spend some time in downtown Flag.

“You gotta walk this area...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

The old dowtown FL;agstaff has been reborn with interesting shops, enetertainment venues, pubs, small diners and eateries. I didn't see a chain store or themed restaurant in site. What a relief.

“Need to have a walking tour with guides”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Getting the self-guided walk brochure from the Visitor's Centre, you walk through the area and it requires a lot of imagination to see what was there. Some of the buildings are original and others are gone, but the spot is pointed out... Needs a lot more help to be a good idea.
