We very much enjoyed the time we spent touring this museum. The volunteers were such a pleasure to talk with and very eagerly related the history of the building, contents and grounds. Set in an old hospital from the early 1900's, it was an interesting walk back in time.

It has both indoor and outdoor exhibits: photographs and historical pieces inside and old equipment outside. If you like to see some of the history of an area, this is a good place to go.

This museum is growing all the time! Fascinating exhibits with a great group of docents who really care about the museum. Interesting items and a wonderful steam locomotive parked out front!

I have volunteered at the museum for a number of years and it's a labor of love for staff and volunteers alike. It features information about the history of Northern Arizona, looking at lumber, ranching, farming. Some orignal cabins have been moved on to the property and it has original barns connected to the property are there along with some unusual farm equipment. The main building is the former county "poor farm". It is family friendly and well worth the stop

Visit the museum and the grounds to get a glimpse into early history of Flagstaff. There is a cool locomotive and farm equipment outside.
