The L Motel Flagstaff
Ranked #42 of 65 Hotels in Flagstaff
Reviewed August 6, 2014

We stayed in The L Motel for one night and had the family suite. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room had old beds and mattresses, carpet, furnishings, etc. There was a/c, TV, and wi/fi. Our room had a small fridge and a coffee pot that was dirty when we arrived. The rooms were smaller than we are used to but accommodated our family. The manager at night was able to take us to the Amtrak station at 4 a.m. which was super! There are places to eat nearby, and you can walk to town easily. We weren't able to walk that far with luggage, but it's a nice walk without.

The air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep. It was very hot so we needed the air conditioner. The Wifi also rarely worked. The bed was nice and the place was clean. The breakfast was nothing special.

This motel's online depiction is a lie. The rooms are run down and out of date( there was a wall heater and a window a/c unit stuck in the wall). The beds are on 2*4's that are nailed together. No fitted sheets or blankets on beds. A/C didn't work. Minimal outlets, shorted out TV when empty sockets were used. Mattresses and box springs were dirty.

Stayed here because of the history and cost. Not the $55 bargain I have read about...it was $99 a night for a queen bed. Probably due to it being a holiday weekend. Gentleman at the front desk could not have been nicer...guessing he is the owner or a relative. Lobby was okay...not a total turn off. My husband and I agreed that we would see it through no matter how bad. As long as there were no roaches or bedbugs, we were in! Well, there were no insects, but that's about the best thing I can say! Wow! No updates, patched and unpainted walls, tub had a grimy look due to worn surface, one set of dingy towels, fan in bathroom hanging from the ceiling, light fixture dated and ill fitting, gross crispy carpet, the list goes on and on. The owners need to call Anthony Melchiorri, from Hotel Impossible and get some serious advice STAT!

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere!

I stayed for one night in The L Motel Flagstaff during last March . I realized ,that the factor " Value for Money " ,as concerns The L Motel Flagstaff , was very satisfactory.
The rate was low. The manager of this Motel was very friendly . And besides I could
have during the next morning a decent breakfast.I left my room two hours after the
check-out.If you travel on a budget stay there. Also the location is good.

Older motel and more suited for guys or college age people as the rooms are worn down and do have a musty smell that febreeze can not cover up. My girlfriend was a good sport about it as we were trying to save a few bucks while we are traveling.

The location is great and the price us right but you are going to get exactly what you pay for.

We paid $55 to stay here. Gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful! The rooms are run down and well it is just what it is. rooms are really shaggy and smelly and probably would pay an extra $20 next time to stay at a motel 6 or Super 8. have learnt my lesson indeed!
