Stayed at the L motel for its great proximity to downtown Flagstaff. Since we were only in town overnight, we weren't that concerned with too many features. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and terrific price won us over. Nothing fancy here, but exactly what we needed: a clean bed to crash in after spending the evening on the town.

Our room was clean and completely adequate for a stopover. The owner/manager was helpful. We prefer independent businesses and support them wherever possible, to help keep them in business, to prevent the domination of the industry by a few monster chains.

The motel is a couple of blocks from the railroad and so was much quieter than others on the main street. It was an easy walk downtown.

This is a motel you'd bring a hooker to, it's dingy, unclean, the sheets were dirty. We threw the sheets in the corner and slept with the ones we brought. The fan in the bathroom sounded like it going to break. The door jam looked weathered and the calking had peeled off. There was a nice tv however but the remote had no guide. The breakfast is a bagle/muffin with some coffee/orange juice. The bed was hard as a rock, I'm ok with that, but I know a lot of ppl are not.

If you are choosing this motel to save money you should be aware that they have a "Utility Surcharge" that will be added to the rate quoted. I think it is $3.50 per night. You might want to call them and verify the current amount. The folks there are friendly and the rooms are adequate. The bed was comfortable. There was no chair in the room. It is an older hotel that shows it's age. My room was pretty clean.

The photos posted here are of when it was a Roadway Inn and have nothing to do with the current motel. Filthy, toilet seat was up in bathroom when we arrived, trash outside, felt like a seedy by the hour place, no internal security on room door, duct tape, no blankets on bed, lamp didn't work, wall heater (couldn't find co2 detector), ended up leaving and forfeiting the money and staying two doors down for the same price and light years better.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.
