We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Flagstaff, AZ at the end of May 2012. This hotel has outside corridors, which made it feel as if people were looking in our windows, while we were in the room. It was impossible to close the curtains on the window without a gap. The room was tiny. There was hardly space for a small nightstand to fit between the two full beds. The hotel staff was professional and the breakfast was standard, but good. The mattresses were springy. For what was received I found the price of the room to be fairly high. I usually expect Fairfield Inn to be better than average, but that was not the case here. One nice bonus was that there is a Coco's restaurant within easy walking distance of the hotel and jogging trails nearby.

My wife and I took a trip to the grand canyon and stayed in the fairfield Inn in Flagstaff. We were very pleased with the hotel, it was clean and quiet, that is very important to us. We stayed in other hotels in the area that cost almost twice as much and had better service at the fairfield. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located on a hill which blocks out a lot of the noise from the road in front. It had easy access to all the major roads in flagstaff and also easy to get historic downtown. The staff was great and made you feel welcome. The only problem I had was I was not able to try their breakfast because there was a bus tour staying there and they all chose to eat breakfast at the same time. It was really no fault of the hotels but I sure was hungry.

Unless you're on the enclosed third floor, which is the top floor, you feel like you're in a dinky motel because the first and second floors are outside. Originally, they gave us a first floor room, but it felt so crappy and cheap that I asked for a third floor room. They gave us the last room, which was nice of them, and it felt better. The location is close to shopping, restaurants and highways, which is good.

Room Tip: Only stay on the third floor.

The stay here in early March 2012 saved us from depressing blizzard winds and snow. Super fun and friendly staff, free-delicious and filling breakfast, fresh-hot coffee and complimentary snacks always available. The room was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. Dan Hunt, one of the managers, was always walking around checking that everything and everyone was doing well. He gave us the best tips on were to go, what to see and how to get there. He even had the front desk staff give us detailed directions and he would add to the maps. Do not go anywhere without checking with Dan first!

Easy parking, fast check-in, and a great front desk. We were given a large, newly decorated room on the top floor, that was perfect for sleeping, and all at a very good rate! The coffee is great and the free breakfast is much better than other hotels of the same category. We have stayed in many other Hotels in Flagstaff, and this is by far the best. We will be using the Fairfield for all other visits to Flagstaff.

Having spent the previous night at a Courtyard with spotty wifi, useless keys, disorganized restaurant staff, and a number of other minor screwups, this place was a real pleasure. Small, but clean, excellent wifi signal, a decent breakfast, and the manager wandering around checking that everyone was okay. A very positive experience. This is a good place. The pool and hot tub were clean and working, and the bed was comfortable.

The first and second floors have outside entrances motel style. We were on the third floor which had interior hallways. The check-in was friendly. The room was clean and had all the expected furnishings but were crammed in very tight quarters. The bathroom was made for one person only to navigate in. The location was quiet, in the morning there was fresh coffee in the lobby and a trip outdoors provided the talk of ravens. You could walk to some retail areas from here.
