I am a big fan of Motel 6, which are usually pretty good, but this one was the worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed at in more than 20 years staying at Motel 6. But what can you do in high price Flagstaff when you want a hotel room-- the only answer is to fork out $60 - $75 per night during the peak summer season. Otherwise you will have to stay at a Motel 6 like the one at Woodland Village.
True, no train or highway noise.
However, the largest beds were double as far as I could tell with no tub, only a shower. The floors are extremely thin so you can hear the person above you extremely easily. Many of the rooms are right next to the lobby and a grassy area where kids play, the air con generator might keep you up at night as the noise affects all rooms near it; no pool, old facilities and charge for local calls.
Rooms were not cleaned very well after first nights stay.
This hotel needs to be remolded or cut from the hotel 6 chain. Its a joke.
The positive thing I can say is that it was central and the air con and heater worked extremely well. And there were TV in the room, but channel selections not that good.
Next trip will be paying a little more money to stay at the Day's Inn next door or the Best Western across from railroad tracks.
From my understanding, the trains are not that frequent during the night and I had several friends stay at hotels across from the tracks and they said train noise was not a problem.
