Description: Coppa is a European-style cafe/bistro set amidst the mountains of Flagstaff serving lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. While northern Arizona might at first seem an unlikely dining destination for serious epicureans, Coppa Cafe's combination of talent and unconventional procurement methods have set the small, casual eatery atop the "can't miss" list of every discerning foodie from Phoenix to Santa Fe. Choosing to go against the grain of the franchise and chain restaurants often found in smaller-town America, husband and wife owners and chefs Brian Konefal and Paola Fioravanti instead favor house-cured meats, ingredients locally procured from nearby farms and ranches and foraged foods found in the forests around Flagstaff to incorporate into their dishes. Though their procurement methods might seem unconventional for the region, their talents are rooted in tradition, following lifelong culinary careers spent crisscrossing Europe and the U.S., Training under the tutelage of some of the finest and most decorated chefs in their respective countries. As Coppa's tagline states, the tiny, intimate venue offers "a taste of Europe in the mountains of Flagstaff," and the culinary team prides itself on providing just that through balancing local finds with progressive techniques, resulting in an unprecedented, sophisticated and pilgrimage-worthy experience.

After slogging through airports, rental car hassles, and a long drive from Phoenix, I would have been satisfied with McDonalds. Instead, thanks to Trip Advisor, we found the incomperable Coppa Cafe. From the first friendly greeting to the last sip of espresso we were treated to prompt service, a friendly cozy ambiance and of course delicious food. This husband and wife team brings solid french technique with a world point of view informed by their many travels.
We reluctantly passed on the seared foie gras appetizer. The evening special was a handmade fusilli pasta with duck confit and porchinni mushrooms which chef paired with a glass of Syrah--made in heaven perfection. The salad was a single slice of backyard fresh tomato, topped with a flavored foam, and surronded by fresh mozzarela and basil pesto. Not only beautiful to look at, but tasty as well.

The best meals not only feed you but restore your soul as well. That's how we left Coppa Cafe last night. Certainly well fed, but restored by the care and attention to every small detail, revived by the company and conversation, and renewed by an outstanding meal and the complete surprise of finding it. Thank you Trip Advisor!

Hands down, best quiche I've ever had!!! Fresh greens that complimented it well. However, the staff at 1130a was cold and the owner was rude. No eye contact, no apology that the espresso machine was down, and no thank you when I paid her. I walked out expecting a thank you as my server walked right past me....nope. Bummer. You need to be pleasant to survive in flagstaff.....karma.

Wonderful, fresh food. Friendly, attentive (but not overly) staff. Cozy, warm, decor. Nice menu selection, but it is limited since they change the menu daily. Nice selection of wines & homemade desserts & gelato. Cheese, bread & butters were all tasty. Glad we found this place on Tripadvisor!

The food was delicious. We had a house made pasta for dinner, and a vegetarian risotto. Everything was made from scratch and the taste was fantastic. They have a good choice of French and Italian wines. We tried one glass of red house wine and an Italian white, both very good. The desserts also looked delicious although we did not try them. The service was really friendly. On the whole, it was just perfect. Good value for money too.

Turned in to go to Picazzos and luckily saw this place when parking. A funky, bohemian vibe, cool music, and most important, AWESOME food. I did not think it was possible for a humble egg salad to be exciting and delicious, but at Coppa Cafe, it is! The salad is cold and fresh, the salad dressing is handmade and bursting with flavor. We took a few croissants home to eat later, and they were the best I have ever had--perfect baked goods just flow out of this place. The owners are friendly and welcoming, a talented chef and an exquisite baker. They totally deserve the accolades they are getting here and elsewhere. This place raises the bar in Flagstaff. It is a must try for anyone who appreciates dedicated culinary artisans!
