“Great choice for Grand Canyon day tour with Touch the Southwest!”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

I started out planning our trip to Arizona months in advance and am so very glad I selected Touch the Southwest for a daytrip tour of the Grand Canyon with my daughter. Brenda provided professional, prompt and easy correspondence and booking of our reservation. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Small, friendly group accompanied us and vehicle accomodations were very comfortable - good visibility and just the right size. Views were incredible driving up to the canyon and walking around the south rim. It was too cold to enjoy Bruce's famous Classic Victorian picnic lunch, but we enjoyed a nice lunch at a local deli. I highly recommend Touch the Southwest for the Grand Canyon tour - an excellent value and an inforgettable experience!

Dear Mary L,

Thank you for taking the time to post such a nice review of your experience with us at Grand Canyon on Trip Advisor. I am pleased you had a great time.

Sadly, bad weather does get in the way of us having our Classic Victorian Picnic on all tours. But we insist on buying you lunch, one way or another. I hope our selection of restaurant was adequate. Although, I must admit, nothing offered at Grand Canyon comes close to what we offer in our picnic, but this is probably just owner's pride.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to show you Grand Canyon our way.

All the best,

Bruce Sawyer

“The BEST possible tour of the Grand Canyon!”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Yes it is true that I selected Touch the Southwest based on the lunch photo which was so much more than the other two tour companies under consideration. Our day started on time with a hotel pickup where we were comfortably seated in an airconditioned van. There were 6 people on our van and our guide was Jamie. Yes, all the reviews about how great a guide Jame is are all true. The first week of October spared us from some of the crowds at the Grand Canyon but even better, Jamie was able to take us to view points that were spectacular and uncrowded..It is like we had some overlooks to ourselves. She was able to spot animals, etc and even had me smelling a mature Ponderosa pine prior to lunch. Yes it does smell like butterscotch. The lunch was a gourmet lunch and not disgusting cold cuts. All of the courses were yummy and you can tell the tour owner is a true chef and not just a cook. Absolutely delicious. I can't say enough good things about this tour. .From the price to the guide, it was absolutely wonderful!

“Last minute booking = best decision!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

We were initially planning to drive from Sedona to the Canyon for a self-guided day trip. At the (almost) last minute, we saw that Touch the Southwest had day trips from Sedona and decided to book the guided tour. So very glad we did! We were picked up at our resort by Mike, who really knew his stuff, and seemed very happy to share it with us! Our hesitation having to share the long ride with a bunch of strangers quickly turned to enjoyment too - we had great conversations during the trip, the van was quite comfortable, and Mike answered all our questions in a very knowledgeable manner (either that or he made it all up...either way, we didn't know any better :-)).
Got to walk around the rim on our own, were served a delicious picnic lunch, and didn't have to drive the 2+ hours back at the end of the day. Didn't have to worry about getting lost, figuring out the best viewing spots, etc. etc. - Mike took care of all the details and all we had to do was enjoy the day. At $99 per person, this was a terrific deal and we thoroughly enjoyed our day with Touch the Southwest. Highly recommended!

“BEST GRAND CANYON TOUR AVAILABLE!!”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

We were in Sedona the last week of Sept. and had seen an online ad for this company, then read the reviews on Tripadvisor. It was my first time to see the Grand Canyon, my husband had already been there, however he said it was like the first time he had every seen it. We were picked up at our resort, Sedona Pines, on time by Jamie. We were so happy to have her as our tour guide, as she is much more than that. She is amazing, extremely smart about the Canyon and oh, so many more things. She made our tour so wonderful and we learned so much. It was an incredible day, to be remembered for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend this tour company, reliable, experienced guides, and a great lunch to top it all off!! The lunch was very tasty and it was served family style, like a picnic, after spending all day with the other passengers, we really got to feel like family. This was the highlight of our trip to Sedona, and it was also the most economical trip online. Sign up for it, you will be very pleased as we were. All you have to do is get on the van and everything else is handled for you. Leave the driving to them. We also visited sites that were not crowded, she took us to all of the best views.

Thank you for such a glowing review about your day at Grand Canyon.

We try our best to provide our guests with the finest guides in the region. Jamie is one of these, a true professional in every regard with a background to match. We also strive to take our guests to the less visited spots at Grand Canyon, so we are happy to hear that your husband enjoyed his second Grand Canyon trip as much as everyone else's first.

I will pass along your kind words about our Classic Victorian Picnic to our Chef. I am sure he will appreciate hearing that you enjoyed his food. We like what he does as well

“Grand Canyon Experience Was Grand”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Dear Brenda

Just wanted to let you know how much my wife and I enjoyed the tour of the Grand Canyon. We were especially impressed by Mike, our tour guide. It was obvious to us that Mike enjoys being a guide. His running commentary was not only amusing and informative, but made the trip to the Canyon pass quickly. In addition, he suggested some spots for dining and hiking in Sedona that proved to be first rate. I will gladly recommend Touch The Southwest to any potential travelers. Thanks again Mike!
