“Good Value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2014

Although the inn is somewhat dated (Think popcorn ceilings.), it has been updated with new windows, etc., and is clean and well cared-for. The room was comfortable, and the location, just off Interstate 17, was convenient. The room was quiet, and you could leave the fan on, so you did not have an annoying on-off noise that some a/c units have. Breakfast buffet was one of the best for such inns--eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, pastries, and coffee that was actually drinkable. The inn is also walking distance from Delhi Palace, one of the best Indian restaurants we've ever gone to. If you want 20 cents cheaper gas, just go toward Flagstaff for a mile or so away from the interstate.

I stayed at this property on July 25, 2014. It is situated on the south end of Flagstaff, near the NAU campus and very close to the intersection of I-40 and I-17. The hotel is a bit on the older side, in terms of overall amenities and room decor. We opted to stay in a two queen room, which was ground floor and faced the pool area. The room itself was fairly clean, and the furniture was not worn or dated. The television was a bit a bit small for the size of the room, but the beds were extremely comfortable. The lobby and dinning room area were also clean, and had a rustic country feel to them. The pool, while small, was clean. There were two small hot tubs adjacent to the pool, and they were warm and inviting. While the pool claims to be closed at 9:00pm, this only means that the lights were turned off. There were people outside in the area for several hours after this.

I would have liked to have given this hotel 5 stars. However, there were some small things that bothered me. First, the oohs themselves need some TLC. They were not dirty or worn, but the hotel just felt a bit dated. Second, the hotel has only one ice machine for each wing of the hotel, and the one near us was not keeping up with demand. Third, though the hotel website adverses rooms that are poolside, they are not. The pool is located in a gated "island" at the end of the parking lot. It is a find pool, but you must cross the driveway/parking lot to get to it. Finally, for a hotel with room rates close to $130 a night, I wold expect a better breakfast buffet. It was decent, but seemed a bit spartan for the cost. Overall, our experience at the hotel was fine. The location was great, and there is a lot of dining and shopping options near the property. For the cost though, I would probably look elsewhere for a better value.

Good amount of space in the double queen room, with a dining table kitchenette area. This may be the reason for my concern. The tile area in front of the wet bar was very sticky, and the table was very sticky all around (gum underneath as pointed out by my son). I think they get a lot of large groups for tournaments, retreats, etc. Which is great for business, maybe not so much for families with kids who also want to use the pool. On the bright side breakfast was great, one of the best of our trip!

I stayed in this hotel twice recently, coming/going to Albuquerque. Flagstaff makes a nice halfway point. The reservation, while a bit garbled, was actually in place. The room was spacious, and quite clean. Toiletries/linens in appropriate amounts and quality. The fridge was large and QUIET(a nice sensation!). The bed comfortable. I had a really good nights' sleep on each occasion. The comp breakfast met expectations. All this, coupled with the great price I paid, made my stay a satisfying experience. I've stayed here before, and I'll stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor and away from the street-side are a little more quiet.

We arrived quite late at night, but were pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. Our rooms were comfy, clean, and spacious The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Day two of our road trip ended at the Flagstaff Comfort Inn. This hotel was right off the highway we needed to get on to get to the North Rim. This hotel was located near a Walmart, several restaurants, and plenty of gas stations. Getting on the highway was a little confusing, but we managed it. The warm breakfast buffet was wonderful. Being only a four hour drive from the North Rim helped getting there and setting up camp for the night much more pleasant.

Room (suite) was ok, breakfast was typical of a Comfort Inn. The staff was helpful and room was quiet even though it was by an exit. The pool seemed heated and people swam in it considering it was in the high 60s. Cheapest room in the area.
