We will be going back to Starlight Pines B&B in a couple of weeks; the trip in December to Starlight Pines B&B was amazing. Richard and Michael had out done themselves the decoration made their B&B an enchanting place to be at Christmas time. At night the fireplace was lit, the Christmas lights were on the tree and the slight scent of pine was in the air. It was so romantic!!! Like always Richard breakfasts were a delight to the palate. This will make our 36th trip to Starlight Pines in 7 years; yes it is our favorite get a way, when we come back to our busy lives we our relaxed and refreshed. Thanks guys!

My wife and I have stayed at 60+ B&Bs during the past 12 years and we would rate the Starlight Pines amongst our favorites. It was clean and comfortable and convenient to the places we planned to visit. But most importantly, Richard (the owner) was warm, friendly, and engaging. Anyone can change sheets and cook eggs, but Richard made us feel welcome in his home (the reason why we stay at a B&B rather than an anonymous motor lodge). He didn't just provide herbal teas and directions to attractions; he made our vacation that much more enjoyable.

This will be our 7th year we have been staying at Starlight Pines for our little get away from Phoenix. And every time the service, the breakfast and our room has always been 5 star. We have stayed at other B & B’s in the area but none can compare to Starlight Pines in every aspect.

The place is lovely, there's no doubt about that. The service is courteous, that's true too. However, the system of having to check in within a very limited time-span, right in the middle of the day, is pretty inconvenient. The proprietors require you to notify them, call them, on the day of your arrival if you're not going to be there exactly at the time they specify. It seems to me the point of giving your credit card number to reserve a room is so that you don't have to worry about your room anymore until you get there. It was an added stress for us after a long drive to have to deal with this. About the breakfast. It's true the asparagus and egg "tower" is tasty, but the eight or so of us at the table all looked at each other, as if to say, "That's it? No bread?" I really can't understand why they would go through all the trouble to cook such an elaborate dish for breakfast and then neglect to provide the mainstay of any American breakfast--bread! We were starving an hour later. For upwards of $200 a night, for a B&B, I expected a little more &B.

We spent two nights at Starlight Pines. Richard was an inredible host. When we arrived he carried our suitcases to our second floor room. He knows the area well and has menus for the good local restaurants, of which there are many. The B&B is immaculate and beautifully furnished with antiques. Our bed was very comfortable. It is very quiet at night. If you exoect a television, you won't have one. There is wireless Internet available in the house. The breakfasts are good and consisted of a fruit course and an entree. Breakfast was served at a set time and we joined the other guests at the dining room table for good food and friendly discussion. Coffee is available an hour before breakfast. We felt very much at home at Starlight Pines, much more so than in a standard hotel room.
