Please spend the extra thirty bucks and stay somewhere else. The most clearly marked sign in the lobby is No Refunds. We found out why when we went to our room. Both bedspreds were stained as well as the blankets and the bath tub. The carpet was ripped in places and the bath fixtures looked like they were about to fall off. The guy at the front desk was not friendly and didn't care that we were leaving. We gladly ate that $100 bucks. If we paid $50 a night I would have expected this but not for $100. We went to the Comfort Inn in Flagstaff and it was wonderful:)

We were extremely pleased with the location, lack of noise of any sort, and the friendly staff. The service was efficient, the room was very clean, and the bed quite comfortable. We will be staying at the Flagstaff Travelodge whenver visiting and will check out other Travelodges around the US as well. I am a flight attendant for a major carrier and stay in 5 star hotels on a regular basis, the comforts and proximity to the downtown area are right on par with hotels I have stayed in.

We drove three days from NC to AZ to pick our daughter up from her first year at NAU. Because it was graduation weekend we hadn't been able to get a reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn (where we usually stay) and Travelodge was the only place near the university. It cost the same as the highest rate we have paid at the H.G. Inn, $119. The motel was undergoing renovation and our room had just been "finished": brand new carpet, spiffy new bathroom redo, etc. HOWEVER many details had not been attended to. The new curtains didn't cover the (filthy) window completely, leaving a gap so passersby could see into the room; this was eventually fixed by the staff with a large safety pin. After that, the top edge of the curtain got stuck in the door to the room whenever we closed it. There were no towels in the room when we got there. The refrigerator and microwave were not plugged in, and the power outlet was behind large pieces of furniture. The clock was set 25 minutes off. The coffee maker and hair dryer didn't work. The bathtub plug didn't work. The free breakfast consisted of 3 carbs: bagels, cheap danish and one kind of muffin. The staff at the front desk responded to our requests, but never apologized for the inconveniences and gave me the impression he was annoyed that we kept finding problems with the room. We also had to go to the office to ask about location of ice/vending and how to access internet; we weren't informed about these at check-in and there was no information about facilities in the room. After our very disappointing first couple of hours, we asked about the cancellation policy and were told that you must cancel by 2:00 on the day before your arrival; which means that we were locked in to two nights' stay before we even checked in (we arrived around 4:00 pm). Housekeeping accidentally left empty trash bags and placed the extra roll of toilet paper on top of the desk.... The last day we were there we got no housekeeping at all -- beds were never made, no clean towels........ The view out our door was into a monster dumpster-- unpleasant, though not unreasonable, considering they were renovating. Positives: the room was big, the location was convenient, the wireless internet worked. But overall, it felt like a cheesy motel and the newly renovated room just wasn't ready for guests, never mind for $119 a night! Perhaps by now (a month later) things are running more smoothly.

We've stayed in many budget hotels and this one is at the bottom of the list.
First, it's really close to the rail road, so you hear trains all the time.
Second, it's undergoing renovations now, so you hear that in addition.
Third, you key to the room stops working every day.
Forth, NO PLUGS anywhere! you can't charge anything in the room unless you unplug one of the amenities in the room.
Overall,
