“Great coffee and homemade baked goodies”

Late for the Train Coffee
Ranked #5 of 16 Coffee & Tea in Flagstaff
Price range: $1 - $6
Description: Late For The Train first opened in 1993 with the downtown Flagstaff cafe and they started roasting their own coffee not too long after, in 1996. Now there are three locations in the Flagstaff community that are supported by their first rate coffee roastery. Over the years they have maintained a level of quality that set them apart from the beginning. In addition to locally roasted quality coffee they offer a unique blend of mochas and chais, such as the Spicy Chai Latte where they give India’s national beverage a taste of Arizona with a touch of spicy peppers. The Coconino Mocha is a rich treat--ultra smooth and made in-house with premium chocolate and their hand-crafted cold-brewed coffee.

Great lattes and mochas. The baked goods are homemade, though very skimpy. Good ambiance and very conveniently located right in the middle of town and across Monte Vista Hotel.

DanAndAssana,
Glad to hear you loved your lattes and mochas. Sorry the baked goods got skimped. We are working with our contract bakeries to get on game with providing us with worthy muffins, cookies, brownies etc. Sometimes a slice of our zucchini bread can resemble a sheet of paper, other days, they are thick as a brick....there is always something to correct and make better in this business. Thanks for your review, it helped us refocus on something that we were dangerously putting up with. We have meetings this week with our suppliers to correct the matter of having skimpy pastries. Again, thanks. David (owner/founder)

Reach the city of Flagstaff after that day I went out very early of Monument Valley at 7:30 am in the morning ... Flagstaff were already 8pm so just come to town to take some pictures of San Francisco street famous for the movie Forrest Gump. I looked out of place and buy a Cafe in the restaurant and I was very tired and needed to stay awake to finish my journey. The place is very nice, very well decorated to stay seemed to me a little more time to enjoy the coffee but I needed 5 hours drive to get to Albuquerque because I just made the purchase and I leave the place. I enjoy the coffee while driving.

The best coffee we found in two States!! What a lovely surprise! Having spent four hours in the Museum, we needed sustenance - and we certainly got it - plus great music playing!
