Owner description: Explore this fascinating ancient pueblo, located near the San Francisco Peaks, which once housed almost 100 members of the Anasazi and Sinagua tribes.

if you prefer the senic route instead of the highway, a good alternative but nothing special. The ancient buildings very small and few. The driving of course was a longer way than on the highway but not so boaring

Take 89 North from Flagstaff and visit this monument and Sunset Crater! The ever so slight detour is worth the trip . . and really not a detour after all.

This is an amazing exploration! You will see ancient pueblos and ball courts located near the San Francisco Peaks (on the way to the Grand Canyon, off of 89A North), which once housed almost 100 members of the Anasazi and Sinagua tribes. There is an equally amazing blowhole vent by the farthest ball court. On a hot day, this vent was blowing cold air that blew my hat off my head! Do not miss this. The views beyond the site are incredible. It doesn't take long to view it and has a nice pathway that seemed to be wheelchair accessible. Enjoy!

PS - use your National Park pass for the entry fee.

Very interesting! Loved every minute of it! Take the scenic route through the painted desert to or from sunset crater! You won't regret it!

Crazy to see the ruins that have been around for so long! Easy walking trails to visit the ruins. Landscape surrounding the ruins is a beautiful site.
