“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

If you are interested in Native a\American sites, this is exceptional. We visited after exiting the east entrance of the Grand Canyon, and the park is also joined with Sunset Crater Nat Monument, as a loop off the highway to Flagstaff, so the two very different parks can be visited.
The drive into the park is very attractive, with the varying colors of the arid vegetation and the snow capped peaks of the San Francisco Mts in the distance. Wupatki pueblo sits on it's own in a vast plain and is built of the beautiful native red stone. It is very well preserved (some parts restored) & gives a real sense of what living here must have been like. There is a small museum at the entrance to the pueblo that is informative.

“Fascinating”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

Plenty to see here and its on the same (huge) site as sunset crater with a common entrance fee). Scenic loop drive takes you to a number of pueblo sites and they are all worth visiting. Staff at the visitor centre were very helpful. Need to wear decent footwear as the paths are a little sandy and rough in places.

“Old pueblo ruins and great scenery”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

This should be your second stop after Sunset Crater. Keep driving north into Wupatki National Monument. We did not explore many of the ruins but the scenery made it worth while.

“If you like ruins, this is one of the best IMO.”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We have seen ruins all over the Southwest and this is my favorite. It is accessible and more complete than most. Also, it is easy to get to.

“Impressive ruins”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

This was a brief stop for us but the main ruins were impressive and the visitor centre was informative and staff helpful (as always in US!).
Good stop off via GC to Flagstaff. Also walked the Lava trail at Sunset Crater which is a few miles further along.
