Loved it. Beautiful grounds. Park service employees were great. We saw a baby scorpion they had found!

“Native American Ruins”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

History at its best. Wupatki National Monument allows visitors to see how Native Americans lived in Arizona. The variety of homes and the ability to walk among the architecture makes the trip a memorable experience. Take the time to read the park signs as they provide valuable insight into the culture of the Native Americans.

“Great view into a community”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

We spent time hiking around the ruins of the community dwellings and gathering spots. We hunted for pottery shards and found some gems that we left for others to find and enjoy as well. Great stop on our journey through Flagstaff!

“Wonderful, haunting site”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Easily walkable, and well documented for viewers. It has a special magic that seems to make you feel that the inhabitants are just waiting around a corner to return when you leave. The colors and views into the painted desert are amazing. I will return!

A very different experience to the walnut canyon. Manmade structures not caves. Very interesting but my husband got a bit puebloed out after the third set of ruins so pace yourself if you have children!!!
