Owner description: Explore this fascinating ancient pueblo, located near the San Francisco Peaks, which once housed almost 100 members of the Anasazi and Sinagua tribes.

These ruins were amazing and beautiful. Really enjoyed walking through them and imagining how the ancient people lived.
Be sure to bring along water and snacks as you can spend hours looking around and there are few places to purchase drinks or water.

Fairly extensive ruins in the style of the neighboring cliff dwellers are located on a valley floor. The dramatic setting is easily accessible by a trail that takes you right to the ruins. This site is well worth a visit if you are traveling to the Grand Canyon from Flagstaff or just visiting Flagstaff.

It was a long drive for a few pueblo views. The rangers were extremely helpful & the site was very interesting.

Spent about an hour at this well preserved pueblo. The $1.00 guide is a must to truly understand the community that lived here. The paved path is an easy walk. Make sure to walk down to the "blow hole" - it is an amazing phenomenon. Admission to this site also covers your admission to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. You can also get a glimpse of the Painted Desert from here..

We visited Sunset Crater and Wupatki the same day. Both are located on the same road, about 20 minutes from each other, and are only 30 to 45 minutes from Flagstaff. The Wupatki ruins are well preserved, and visitors can walk into, examine and photograph the dwellings. Signs within the Monument provide a succinct history of the ruins and the tribes who lived there. We only visited 2 of the 3 sites, but found it to be a very enjoyable afternoon.
