Walnut C anyon was a pleasant surprise. We didn't really know what to expect, although we knew enough not to compare this canyon with any of the others around. It just stands on it's own.
We liked this canyon and enjoyed our visit there. The interpretive centre was very interesting and the relatively short self-guided walk was most interesting. The information sheets told us that this Canyon had actually been advertised - way back when - as a place to visit and basically raid to take away the artifacts!! Hard to believe. But if a visitor today wants to see more artifacts, they have to keep in mind that this site was "mined" for years by treasure-seekers looting the place.
So it exists in its simplicity and splendour and we enjoyed it very much.
