My husband and I were in Murfreesboro for two nights to attend a conference at the university and stayed here.
The room was fine--comfortable and clean. We ate the breakfast one morning, and it was good. I ate a waffle, & husband ate a bagel. Our room had a king bed. The room itself was not too spacious but okay.
He used the wireless and had his choice from our hotel & all the others nearby.
It is right by the interstate so it is a little noisy, maybe for some, but it never bothered us at all. The desk clerks were very nice & helpful.

Older place but remodeled fairly recently. Good shape. The check in clerk was very nice and helpful. Decent size room for a day or two. Good beds, slept well. Great coffee in the office in the morning. Plenty of hot water in the shower with a great shower head. All in all for the price, hard to beat.

One of the nicest and cleanest establishments we've stayed in. Our motel room was facing towards the outside parking lot and was very quiet, if you don't mind the noise on the interstate near by. Overall the noise wasn't unbearable. Very roomy and the girl at the front desk was hot! She was so nice to us when ever we had questions! Plenty of places within a short distance to get a bite to eat. We ate at Demos Steak House. Was recommened by a guy down the street when I asked..."Where do you get a good Steak for dinner" and it was EXCELLENT! Don't miss it. The Rib-Eye was out of this world. One of the best Rib-Eyes I've ever had. My wife agreed! About 2-3 miles away, but easy to drive in Murfreesbory and was worth the trip. We were extremely pleased with our stay here.
The rooms were in great shape and the hotel was maintained well. It has been recently renovated.
The bed was very comfortable although the pillows were not good. The rooms seemed big and were decorated well. I liked the chair and ottoman and husband loved the big flatscreen. The marble on the nightstand and desk were an upgrade for a motel in this price range. Storage here was amazing if you were on a long stay--tons of drawers and a chifferobe.
The free breakfast was good and the guy worked very hard at keeping things filled and cleaning tables. I was very impressed at the work ethic of the staff here.
It does sit close to the highway and we did hear a siren once, but it was not enough to keep us awake. There are many fast food hotels within walking distance. More restaurants and a Wal-Mart and Target are less than a five minute drive.
We have stayed across the street at 2 hotels that are twice as much, but our team would choose to stay here again for the difference in price. It was a great deal for the money.

Trying to check into this motel began with problems. The clerk took forever even though I was the only person in the lobby.

The weather was snow and ice and I was given a room on the second floor (outside stairwells). The room was old and needed serious remodeling. On trying to get some ice, I found that the light was out. This was a problem in that the machine was located in a long hall with doors at both ends. I called the front desk and was told to use the first floor ice machine (again, outside stairwell with snow and ice).

I took a shower that night and found that the drain was clogged to the tub filled with water. The next morning the tub was still filled with water.

The housekeeping crew began work before my wake-up call (8:30 AM) and where very loud.

I used to like Best Western but at $70.00 per night, I'll pass on the Best Western Chaffin Inn.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back home (Chicago) from a trip to Florida. The hotel was very nice and we were quite impressed. Previously we had stayed for a week at a Disney hotel so needless to say, our standards were pretty high. The hotel was older and the rooms were not huge. It might be a tight fit for a family, but it was perfect for the two of us. The location was great: right off the highway, plenty of places to eat and close to Nashville. The best part was inside the room. Everything was brand new. The bed (including the bedding and mattress), the chairs, the table, the desk, the nightstands, the dresser, the armoire, even the the bathroom sink and the cabinet the housed the mini fridge and microwave all matched. Everything was a darker cherry wood with deep grey granite tops. It was beautiful. And there was a large flat screen on the wall. We didn't want to leave! We have already decided we would go out of our way to stop at this hotel and were inspired to plan a driving trip through TN for an excuse to stay here. If you on the raod and need a place to stop, this will definately make your trip more pleasant!

  • Liked — The beautiful furniture in the room
  • Disliked — The bathroom was a little small, no big deal for us though

I thought the Best Western in Murfreesboro TN was a good place to stay for a night. I booked the room on the Best Western website. I got the AARP rate of $58.50 for a requested king smoking room on the first floor. When we arrived I was told there was not a room like that available and we were given a double queen room instead. No big deal. I didn't notice any faults with the room itself. Standard chain hotel decor. Bed was comfortable and pillows were ok. The blanket however was worn and shabby--the old kind with the satin binding and wooly appearence. Yuk. It did appear to be clean. The only thing that I saw that I felt like needed to be corrected was the shower/tub surround. It was badly streaked from mostly likely some kind of cleaner.
This hotel is crammed in among lots of other hotels and businesses just off the interstate. If you want a peaceful relaxing holiday type hotel--this ain't it. Bad noise outside, but luckily the walls must be sound proof.
The "breakfast" was nothing to brag about. Standard fare of sweets and more sweets. There was instant oatmeal and boiled eggs to compliment the sweets.
All in all...it was not that bad and I thought a good value for the money. And it was in the same area as the most expensive hotels. They all seem to be in the same location--the same interstate exit.
