“Great thai and chinese”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Don't judge a book by its cover, that adage rings true with this place. While it's not much to look at from the street, inside I assure you is great food and good service. The food here is clearly fresh using nice spices and fresh ingredients. The prices are pretty reasonable and the portions good. It has your run of the mill take out Chinese place beat by a mile...try it, you won't be disappointed.

“You won't be disappointed”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

If you are looking for good Thai food, you won't be disappointed with your meal at Pad Thai Cafe. We found it clean, courteous service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Because of its location one might think this cafe not worth notice. However, do not dismiss this restaurant because of its size or location. This is the first time we ate at this SE Asian bistro. We enjoyed Gaeng Keow Wan (Thai Green Curry), Pad Thai, Fried Rice, and Ginger Shrimp. All of the dishes were very good. An advisement on the "spicy-heat" scale, it's on the mark. A "5" means Thai hot, not American hot.

“A Well Kept Secret??”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

On Saturday, January 21, my brother and I had a late lunch at Pad Thai, a restaurant that is rather nondescript on the outside and part of four or five stores in a small strip mall. In contrast with the outside, the inside of Pad Thai is rather well decorated even though small. Patrons are seated at tables and the Asian staff is friendly and conscientious. While we were there, a cute little girl came out of somewhere and hugged on her mommy while the mommy took our order. The man who brought us our food looked about the right age to be the husband and daddy which suggested that the restaurant is a small, family operation and the food authentic.

The menu offered a number of selections with sufficient descriptions so that one not necessarily familiar with Asian food could be sure of what they were getting. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu for $8.50. It was served with a crisp green salad, a bit on the small side, and a delightful ginger dressing. The presentation of the food was quite nice, it tasted as good as it looked, and the portion size was average.

Although I don’t live in Tennessee, I would certainly revisit the Pad Thai if I was in the area again.
