Carriage Lane Inn
Ranked #2 of 3 Murfreesboro B&B and Inns
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I spent 3 nights at Carriage Lane Inn while exploring the Stones River Battlefield. It was convenient to most places in and around Murfreesboro. Lovely quiet Inn. I enjoyed the porch of the Peri Room in the Yellow House in the mornings and evenings. Be aware that you will need to climb a long flight of stairs. I plan on returning during the winter.

We were in Murfreesboro for a funeral and all the relative's houses were noisy and full. The Carriage Lane was a nice quiet, comfortable place to retreat for our quick trip. We stayed in the Peri Room, second floor in the Yellow House on the corner of Burton and Maney. There is a large open porch that catches a nice breeze.

We just held our corporate retreat here and it could not have gone better! The new owners had just taken over a week before our trip. They emailed us to give us a heads up and were proactive in making sure they met all of our needs. We rented out all three houses and had use of the Reception House for all of our meetings and training. We also had them cater our breakfasts and lunches. It was so nice to walk out of our back doors and walk the few feet to the Reception Hall for our meetings. There we'd be greeted by a wedding style buffet breakfast setup in one room, formal dining for us in another, and perfect U-shape tables in our meeting room. They had the table cloths, chairs, water, projector and screen all ready for us in just amount we needed. We didn't even use the big reception room. After our meetings, it was so nice to just step to the next room and have our lunch buffet waiting ... and one of the days we were served lunch in the dining room. For a maiden voyage for the new owners, they did beyond exceptional. They'll make it every better I'm sure as they get their feet under them. Bravo and definitely recommend this to any other corporate retreats. We usually don't do the same spot again from year to year... but it might be tempting to break that rule and come back for the pure convenience and value!

Room Tip: VIP Suite is huge with a formal living/dining room of its own, walk in shower, etc. Very nice and en...

Carriage Lane Inns was an excellent choice for our family during this weekend stay! We had family coming in from all over the states and us from the middle east. This house was a perfect choice for everyone to relax, play games and come and go as needed. It is an older home but SO cozy and convenient for privacy with in-suite bedrooms. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: East Tennessee Room gets the early morning sun. Middle Tennessee is dark because there is only one...

We recently stayed at "the cottage". It was a great place. I met up with my oldest son and his family from Colorado and staying here helped us to have a very "homey" type visit that a hotel just cannot compare to! We enjoyed the amount of room, the cleanliness, the proximity to Downtown Murfreesboro, and just the warm comfortable feeling. I would definitely do it again.
