Sadly, this mall feels empty.
It is like a ghosttown mall, you dont feel really safe inside.
Not a bad one, but so much closed or empty stores.
Food court is a mess. Normally, it makes me hungry, not this time.
I was really disappointed by downtown mall in such a nice city.

“If it wasn't for Boscov and parking, this would rate 1 circle”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

The Mall at Steamtown is fading away. The Bon-Ton will be closing after the holidays leaving Boscov as the only anchor.

The food court has an overpriced italian stand, Subway (which does not accept coupons), a Arthur Treachers/Nathans/Kenny Rogers combo (also pricey) and a affordable southern style food stand. Outsides the food court are better food deals such as Auntie Annes pretzels, Starbucks, Bavarian pretzel/hot dogs and Cinnabon/Carvel.

The mall has many empty storefronts and more than usual non-traditional tenants (miniature train layout, mini-library, cable company and tax office). Unless you have a specific store in mind, your shopping time can be better spent elsewhere.

“Steamtown Mall”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

There are 2 anchor stores-Boscov & Bon-Ton. Bon-Ton will soon be closing. It is unfortunate for the mall. There are very few quality stores located there. It isn't the safest place in town.
I travel to Allentown or Short Hills for shopping.

Its an OK mall as long as Boscovs stays there in my opinion. BonTon has some good deals and of course theres Getraude Hawks candy. If you have kids I guess it would be nice to go outside & look at the trains.

“There are some great stores here, but more are needed.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The food court has a play area for the little ones and there are a variety of food choices. Some of the smaller stores are too high priced to last or to patronize, but the bigger stores have great sales and a decent selection of styles.
