The wife and I decided to try to patronize more of the smaller, locally owned restaurants and tonight we stopped at Pehr's Pizza. This is a no thrills, old fashioned pizza joint with only a few tables for those dining in. First impressions were not good in that the place is a bit run down, the dining area was uncomfortably cold and they only had one laminated menu for customers to peruse, While the looks were not the greatest, the staff were very friendly.
The menu was pretty much a standard pizza-subs-wings-stromboli which is found almost anywhere. Their subs come in 9" and 18" instead of 6" and 12" found at many other shops. The Italian sub was good and the mild boneless wings had a good flavor and the price included blue cheese (which was nice and chunky).
Overall, I think this is one of those simple places that we will grab a bite when passing by,.
